Apartment was very clean, secure, quiet, located within walking distance to city center, and the owner met me at the door to review all of the nuances of the apartment and surrounding dinning and shopping choices. I would stay at this space again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

I had the pleasure of staying here for 3 nights in February 2012. I had never been to Krakow and was simply looking for basic amenities. I was caught off guard. The owners spoke acceptable English and were very accomadating to our needs. The apartment is absolutely amazing with heated floors and all major appliances. The main square is within a 5 minute walk which was very convenient to us. As well there are a few markets opened 24 hours also within 2-3 minute walk. Overall I will say that this was definetely the best apartment I have stayed in Eastern Europe to date, and I always use VRBO. PS The owners, a lovely older couple were very accomadating and very nice people.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My 10 year old daughter and I stayed in this amazing apartment. this apartment was EXACTLY as described. It was comfortable, spacious, and inviting. The apartment was clean and very well mantained. The owners family were very accomodating and provided us with some information regarding the area. We spent a total of 5 days in this apartment and I have to say, it made my trip to Poland memorable. I am planning my next trip to Poland with my husband, daughter, son and mother and sadly I will need a larger apartment. I would HIGHLY recommend this apartment to family, friends and anyone looking for a bueatiful apartment under Wawel castle in Krakow.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My wife and I are retired and frequent, independent travelers who have stayed in VRBO sites extensively in North and South America and Europe. Our VRBO experience has generally been excellent; this apartment ranks among the very best. Everything about it--location, amenities, cleanliness, comfort, very helpful and accommodating owner, price--was excellent. It made our two weeks there in October a highlight of our two-month trip in eastern Europe. The location is ideal for seeing all the sights of Krakow while feeling a bit like a part of a neighborhood. The building is on a dead-end street, away from the tourist hordes of Grodzka Street and thus very quiet. The Visla River is only a long block away, and Wawel Hill, with the castle and cathedral is a 5 minute walk away. A tram stops at the end of the block. It's an easy 10 minute walk to the old market square. The owner, Julita, was very accommodating and wonderful to work with and her parents, who live in Krakow were so welcoming and helpful--they even had some cheese, butter and fresh rolls waiting for us--they had a lot of helpful information and hints about things to see and do. The apartment is delightful--the pictures are accurate, but actually don't fully do the apartment justice, Everything is new, spotless and comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom are especially nice--the kitchen[ is fully equipped and bright and the bathroom includes a wonderful walk-in shower. With both a washer and dryer, it was very easy to keep up with laundry for our two-week stay. The large Jubilat grocery and department store is a block-and-a-half away and there are many shops, restaurants, milk bars close by. There is a great bakery shop at the end of the block and we frequented a little produce kiosk a few doors down that had great produce but especially a delightful, friendly proprietress who tolerated my efforts at Polish and who felt like a friend. In sum, I can't imagine a more perfectly located or better appointed apartment than this one from which to enjoy the wonderful city of Krakow and its surroundings. We highly recommend it.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you very much for your kind review. You are a very nice couple and I truly appreciate working with you.

This property was beautiful and wonderful to stay at for the 4 nights last week. The owners were lovely to chat to and recommended cafes and restaurants to us. Everything was so close with this Tarlowska apartment and I would definitely recommend it for anyone who loves a cultural city break. Bardzo Dobrze!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.

We stayed at the apartment for four nights, and loved the accommodations. Julita was great answering our questions via email before our arrival, and her parents were very gracious and helpful when we arrived. They even provided some basic food items we needed to get started (tea, coffee, sugar, spices, candy!, etc.) and rode with us in the car to show us where we could park (parking cost about 20 Euro per day in an underground lot no more than 5 mins. away). The apartment is close to everything, and one doesn't need a car at all while there. Having a washing machine and dryer was an added benefit, as was the Internet access. The apartment was super clean, and we had everything we needed to cook our own meals. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment, and we hope to return one day soon.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Of the three apartments we rented in Europe this one had the most welcoming owners. They provided us with coffee for the expresso machine and a light breakfast for the first morning. The apartment was charming. It has one bedroom and the living room makes into a queen bed. We stayed there with our adult son and it was plenty spacious but all the doors have a window making the second sleeping area less private. Great location, easy walk to all the tourist locationsRecommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Perfect property. We stayed there for a week in July and we were very happy there. The apartemnt is perfectly located. It is close to the Market Square and close to the Royal Castle. Bakery, stores, and restaurants nearby. The description of the apartment was accurate and the property was clean and well maintained. The landlords were also very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend it.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2009
About the owner: I live with my family in a suburb by Chicago, Illinois. I grew up in Poland until I was 19 years old and then I moved to the United States. I have two great kids: Jessica and Adrian. I go to Krakow to relax and to enjoy life. I walk around and visit old historical places, eat Polish food, and seat and watch people on the Main Square.
Why the Owner Chose Krakow (Cracow):
They say that there are 3 important things about real estate: LOCATION, LOCATION AND LOCATION. And this apartment has it. Close to everything. Wawel (Royal Castle) and Main Square just minutes away. It is indeed BLISS in Krakow!!!
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
There is a terrific bakery on the corner. They sell many kind of different bread and their pastries are just blissful.
