Surpassed my Expectations!!!

I had the pleasure of staying here for 3 nights in February 2012. I had never been to Krakow and was simply looking for basic amenities. I was caught off guard. The owners spoke acceptable English and were very accomadating to our needs. The apartment is absolutely amazing with heated floors and all major appliances. The main square is within a 5 minute walk which was very convenient to us. As well there are a few markets opened 24 hours also within 2-3 minute walk. Overall I will say that this was definetely the best apartment I have stayed in Eastern Europe to date, and I always use VRBO. PS The owners, a lovely older couple were very accomadating and very nice people.

A Perfect Spot in Krakow

My wife and I are retired and frequent, independent travelers who have stayed in VRBO sites extensively in North and South America and Europe. Our VRBO experience has generally been excellent; this apartment ranks among the very best. Everything about it--location, amenities, cleanliness, comfort, very helpful and accommodating owner, price--was excellent. It made our two weeks there in October a highlight of our two-month trip in eastern Europe. The location is ideal for seeing all the sights of Krakow while feeling a bit like a part of a neighborhood. The building is on a dead-end street, away from the tourist hordes of Grodzka Street and thus very quiet. The Visla River is only a long block away, and Wawel Hill, with the castle and cathedral is a 5 minute walk away. A tram stops at the end of the block. It's an easy 10 minute walk to the old market square. The owner, Julita, was very accommodating and wonderful to work with and her parents, who live in Krakow were so welcoming and helpful--they even had some cheese, butter and fresh rolls waiting for us--they had a lot of helpful information and hints about things to see and do. The apartment is delightful--the pictures are accurate, but actually don't fully do the apartment justice, Everything is new, spotless and comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom are especially nice--the kitchen[ is fully equipped and bright and the bathroom includes a wonderful walk-in shower. With both a washer and dryer, it was very easy to keep up with laundry for our two-week stay. The large Jubilat grocery and department store is a block-and-a-half away and there are many shops, restaurants, milk bars close by. There is a great bakery shop at the end of the block and we frequented a little produce kiosk a few doors down that had great produce but especially a delightful, friendly proprietress who tolerated my efforts at Polish and who felt like a friend. In sum, I can't imagine a more perfectly located or better appointed apartment than this one from which to enjoy the wonderful city of Krakow and its surroundings. We highly recommend it.

Owner response:Thank you very much for your kind review. You are a very nice couple and I truly appreciate working with you.

Amazing

My 10 year old daughter and I stayed in this amazing apartment. this apartment was EXACTLY as described. It was comfortable, spacious, and inviting. The apartment was clean and very well mantained. The owners family were very accomodating and provided us with some information regarding the area. We spent a total of 5 days in this apartment and I have to say, it made my trip to Poland memorable. I am planning my next trip to Poland with my husband, daughter, son and mother and sadly I will need a larger apartment. I would HIGHLY recommend this apartment to family, friends and anyone looking for a bueatiful apartment under Wawel castle in Krakow.

This property was beautiful and wonderful to stay at for the 4 nights last week. The owners were lovely to chat to and recommended cafes and restaurants to us. Everything was so close with this Tarlowska apartment and I would definitely recommend it for anyone who loves a cultural city break. Bardzo Dobrze!!

Of the three apartments we rented in Europe this one had the most welcoming owners. They provided us with coffee for the expresso machine and a light breakfast for the first morning. The apartment was charming. It has one bedroom and the living room makes into a queen bed. We stayed there with our adult son and it was plenty spacious but all the doors have a window making the second sleeping area less private. Great location, easy walk to all the tourist locations

Great Apartment

We stayed at the apartment for four nights, and loved the accommodations. Julita was great answering our questions via email before our arrival, and her parents were very gracious and helpful when we arrived. They even provided some basic food items we needed to get started (tea, coffee, sugar, spices, candy!, etc.) and rode with us in the car to show us where we could park (parking cost about 20 Euro per day in an underground lot no more than 5 mins. away). The apartment is close to everything, and one doesn't need a car at all while there. Having a washing machine and dryer was an added benefit, as was the Internet access. The apartment was super clean, and we had everything we needed to cook our own meals. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment, and we hope to return one day soon.

Perfect property. We stayed there for a week in July and we were very happy there. The apartemnt is perfectly located. It is close to the Market Square and close to the Royal Castle. Bakery, stores, and restaurants nearby. The description of the apartment was accurate and the property was clean and well maintained. The landlords were also very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend it.

Great Apartment - Great Location!

Bliss in old town, was just that... Bliss! Upon our arrival we weren't sure what to think because the street in front of the apartment building was completely torn up. The pavement had been removed and the road was blocked off to all vehicle traffic. Once we reached the apartment and met the local caretakers (Julita's parents) we were quite happy. The furnishings and decor are great. The internet access is awesome. The kitchen appliances are top notch. There were three of us traveling, and we found the flat to be the perfect size for us. In addition to an orientation on use of all appliances, etc., the caretakers recommended a great local restaurant. (If they offer you any suggestions, be sure to take the advice.) As we were leaving (four days later) the roadwork was well on it's way to being done, probably 60% complete; so this won't likely be a problem for you. The location is great, Julita is great with communication and her parents are great when in Poland. You won't go wrong staying here! I highly recommend it!

Wonderful location--easy walk to the castle and to the square. The apartment was as described. Very clean. Nice to have Internet access. The rooms are small. The bed is comfortable. I'd recommend adding a book describing how to use the washer and turning on the heat, as these were both confusing. Small things: it would be nice to add a hairdryer and drip coffee maker (there is an expresso machine). Communications with owner before renting were excellent and very prompt. On the square there are MANY great bars and restaurants. A wonderful area! Overall, a very nice place to rent.

All, I had concerns and worries as I never booked a place like this before. That all went away quickly. This choice of accomidation was a grand slam hit. Everything is as advertised and the family that tends to this is very kind and trusting. Thank you, Dziekuje. I will not hesitate to stay at this place again and will use HomeAway again. Our party was 3 men; 85,44,13. We all had space and comfort. Everything is in walking distance for us, even the central station. You do not need a car. The final comment is it felt like home for us.
