Banner Elk is within a 5 minute drive of Glen II with lots of shops and fine and casual dining. You can sign up in town for white water rafting, canoeing, mountain climbing, fly-fishing and the new zipline. Something for everyone.
You are a within a 15 minute drive of the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, historic Valle Cruces and Grandfather Mountain. Boone (Appalachian State Univ.) and historic Blowing Rock are about 20 minutes away. Beautiful Linville Falls is about 25 minutes away.

Year Purchased: 2005
Tom is a pastor and Mary is a nurse. One heals the spirit, and the other heals the body. We enjoy all outdoor activities and taking long walks on our mountain. Our high country home brings us great joy and we want to share it with others.
Why the Owner Chose Sugar Mountain
We chose to buy in this area because of the cool summer days and evenings at the higher elevations. We enjoy the myriad activities in the area including golf, tennis, biking and hiking and horseback riding. And ooooooh the food. A few of the best restaurants are within a 10 minute drive. We love the drives on the parkway on a beautiful fall day and watching the leaves change.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
Our unit is ground level - no stairs. Lots of windows - nice and bright. We thoroughly enjoy the wood burning fireplace in the fall and winter. Our large balcony overlooks the 4th fairway and we love sitting on our elevated Adirondack chairs and watching the golfers as they try to best the infamous undulating 4th green.
