This cottage is the guest house on our 1 acre farm in the Rio Grande Valley of Albuquerque. We are nestled in the prestigious, green and rural Village of Los Ranchos within the Albuquerque area, where most properties are equestrian or farms. We are close to miles of Rio Grande River canal walks and the "Bosque" with opportunities for nature walks and bicycling, or even horse-back trail rides.
Our guest house is nestled in a romantic setting with lots of trees and farm land around it. And yet, you are only 10 minutes from the nearest mall for shopping, movies and restaurants, or less than 20 minutes from gambling at the beautiful Sandia Casino - this cottage feels it is away, but it is yet so close to everything.
Once inside, the walls are all adobe for pleasing cool temperatures during summer, keeping the heat inside in the wintertime. There is a sunroom facing south for passive solar comfort. It features a sleeper sofa for two and a charming pellet stove. The main house features an 18 foot cathedral beamed wooden ceiling.
A circular stair case leads you upstairs to the loft with a queen bed with a view! The main living area is heated appropriately by a quiet wall gas unit.
Pets are welcome - and bring your horses! We have three stalls and a tack room waiting.

Monica & I both traveled and worked across the world before deciding to settle in the North Rio Grande Valley of Albuquerque. As ranch owners we appreciate this peaceful country setting within the bustling Albuquerque area. Here, we are only 1 hour from skiing in Santa Fe, 2 hours from Taos, or just 1/2 hour by tram to the top of Sandia Crest. We are 1/2 hour from Albuquerque's Old Town or to anywhere in the Albuquerque area. There is fantastic hiking and bicycling in Bosque close-by. We are very fortunate to having been able to find this little retreat to make it our own. We are now opening it up for you to share! Welcome!
