You will fully enjoy your visit to San Francisco when you stay in this late 19th century house. During Prohibition, it was a speakeasy called the Blind Pig, easily accessible at the end of the J-Church street car line, which continues to be a popular mode of transportation. The neighborhood has changed and the farm across the street is now single family homes.
The apartment is on the second or top floor and looks onto a large deck and garden, an unusual configuration due to the hillside being supported by a large retaining wall with waterfall. The kitchen/dining area and the master bedroom have a quiet country ambiance with views of the garden. The decor is elegant yet casual. Antiques, art and period furniture combine with modern amenities to provide a level of comfort exceptional in a rental unit. Cooking in the fully equipped kitchen is easy. Dine inside or out.
Morning coffee can be wonderful on the deck. And if you have work to do, there is a separate office with desk and telephone, Wi-Fi. Or you can watch satellite TV in the office and enjoy the large selection of possible shows and movies. The living room is very comfortable and can be a great place to read a book and enjoy a cozy fire. Time to amble to bed? A beautiful bedroom with your comfort in mind, blinds for total darkness, windows to be opened or closed for ventilation, top of the line sheets, comforter, blankets and down pillows. If you have overnight guests, the office has a sofa bed and your friends can enjoy a late night movie on TV.
You may decide to cook and head down the block to the local produce store which has just about everything, except meat and fish, which you will find just a block further down Church St.
