This late 19th century Victorian is as much an antique house as it is a modern home, and it has all the history to go with it. It has withstood the two great San Francisco Earthquakes (rest assured), and during Prohibition, it was a speakeasy owned by a famous boxer, Frankie Campbell, and was known as the Blind Pig. At one time it was the lone light on the hill at the end of the streetcar line, surrounded by small farms on cobblestone streets, where it is now accessible to all forms of transportation and is an integral part of San Francisco’s classic Noe Valley.
The spacious flat is on the second level, or top floor, and looks out onto the neighborhood and city, while the back of the house opens to a large deck, yard, and garden. With views of the garden, the kitchen/dining area, and the master bedroom have a quiet country ambiance much like a French château. Dine inside at the round cherry wood table or outside in the sun at the glass table. Morning coffee on the deck can be an unparalleled eye opener. The timeless, fully equipped kitchen makes meals easy and memorable. If you do so decide to take advantage of California’s cornucopia of ingredients, which I highly recommend, just head down the block to the local produce market and butcher. And feel free to wander the amazing neighborhood’s shops and boutiques.
Aside from the original moldings, wainscoting, wood floors, and classic chandeliers, the addition of Persian rugs, art, antiques, and period furniture combine with the modern amenities to provide a level of comfort exceptional in a rental unit.
The beautiful master bedroom has a well-crafted bed, bedside tables, bench seat, dresser and closet, as well as top of the line bathrobes, sheets, blankets, comforter, and down pillows. It receives morning sun, but also has blinds and curtains for total darkness.
The living room is upscale, yet comfortable, and can be a great place to read a book and unwind next to a cozy wood fire, or a great place to entertain and enjoy time with family and friends. The decor is elegant yet casual, and feels like a home away from home.
And if you have work to do, there is a separate office, with desk, Wi-Fi internet connections, and telephone. Or you can relax on the large sofa and watch satellite TV on a 40” flat screen, enjoying the large selection of possible shows and movies. If you have overnight guests, the office’s high-end sofa bed unfolds into a comfortable queen size (which we would gladly set up for you), moonlighting the office as an additional bedroom.
From the hardwood floors, to the handmade furniture, to the landscaped yard, to the fabulously painted walls and original paintings, each intricacy has been considered with your comfort and enjoyment in mind. Whether staying for business or pleasure, you will love this unique San Francisco classic in Noe Valley.

The Unique Benefits at this House
A great neighborhood to escape the loudness of the city, yet be minutes away from the hustle and bustle of San Francisco. Short walking distance to Church Street and it's markets (Butcher, Produce Market, Restaurants, and Diners) as well as the wonderful 24th Street Boutiques, the Mission and Valencia districts, and Glen Park. Thus providing access to the Bart, Streetcars, and Multiple Muni Lines. Also just a wonderful neighborhood to take a stroll through in any direction to admire the architecture, neighborhood, and city life. Delicious foods ranging from American, Mexican, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Ethiopian, and Indian, are but to name a few of the amazing cuisines as well as cultures that illuminate the local streets. Just ten minutes from the SFO airport, and just blocks from the freeway exit, it is easy to get to and from. Also just minutes from Downtown, the Waterfront and Embarcadero, or Golden Gate Park. Also has complete kitchen, bathroom with a full tub and all the amenities you would find in a luxury hotel, as well as washer, dryer, and ironing board, to make your stay comfortable and easy. A vacation home away from home.
Owner's Map of Noe Valley
I have raised two young boys to men in this house and have perfected the place through years of improvements. The downstairs has recently undergone major modern renovations while staying true to it's original design as a Victorian, while the upstairs has been kept in it's original architecture so as to preserve the integrity of the Victorian. My eldest son recently helped put the finishing touches on some of the painting, and I personally chose all the furniture and art within the homes. I reside in San Francisco and still stay at the home occasionally, or provide my family with a unit when visiting. I often introduce myself to occupants and enjoy personally leaving a bowl of fresh organic fruit and some coffee beans for visitors.
