Our beautiful apartment has everything to make your holiday perfect. It’s fully air-conditioned, with open living areas, two screened balconies, three bedrooms (two double, one twin) two bathrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, laundry with washer and dryer. Free internet access is also available in apartment and throughout the resort.
Bahama Bay is a beautiful, Caribbean-style, gated resort on the banks of picturesque Lake Davenport, set in acres of gardens, lawns, lagoons and fountains: it even has its own lakeside beach, with crisp white sand - perfect for sunbathing! Mambo’s poolside bar at the clubhouse is a great place to have a snack and listen to soft Caribbean music – or watch the sun go down over the lake while enjoying dinner at Tradewinds lakeside restaurant. Other fabulous facilities include the Eleuthera health spa, fitness centre, games room, internet access, four pools with whirlpool spas, sports amenities, children’s play area and pool.
There’s a small food shop at the resort, but there are also large Wal-Mart and Publix supermarkets close by. There are two restaurants on site, but there are lots more places to eat within a short distance.
Bahama Bay is a truly stunning resort. Unlike staying in a villa, there’s plenty to do when you want a day off from the theme parks – or you can just relax on the beach. If you like to keep fit (even on holiday) there are sports facilities (tennis, volleyball – even a fishing dock) and the clubhouse has a well-equipped fitness centre. Alternatively, if you want a little pampering, you can visit the Eleuthera day spa and hair salon, also in the clubhouse.
There’s plenty for kids to do too. If you do get some rain, including a games room and other activities. All in all, it’s a great place to stay. It has a wonderful relaxing atmosphere and because it’s a gated community there’s 24 hour security.
The resort is on the I-27 very close to the junction of US highway -192 and within easy distance of the I-4. So it’s very well placed to enjoy the Disney area. It’s just 10-15 min to the Disney gates (only about 3 miles) and is about 25-30 to the furthest ones (Universal and Sea World). It is also in a excellent spot for exploring other areas of Florida.
There are several golf courses close by (some offer special discounts for Bahama Bay guests) and excellent shopping malls a short drive away. If you’re looking for places to visit beyond the theme parks there’s plenty in that line too. Bok Tower, Winter Haven and Cypress Gardens are a fairly short ride away, as is a local winery that does tours and tastings. That’s just to name a few places.

About the owner: I'm a consultant and my husband is a journalist, based in England. The moorland village where we live couldn't be more different to the lush lakeside setting of our apartment at Bahama Bay.
Why the Owner Chose Bahama Bay:
We visit the resort every year. Our favorite time is October/November, when the weather is still in the high 70s and 80s, but not humid. Perfect!

Though we enjoy the theme parks, we've discovered so much more over the years - from spectacular wildlife, to the local winery (very drinkable!!) and some lovely off-the-beaten track towns.
