Villa Campo Verde accommodates 20 to 25 people in 7 suites. In all there are a total of 10 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms. On site there is also a 2 room cottage with resident manager.
It is let in its entirety and is not a hotel or guest house. The villa features a large modern kitchen, preparation and cool store rooms, traditional Umbrian ‘alla brace’ cooking fireplace inside and a BBQ outside, three reception rooms and a dining room.
The house is designed to provide both peaceful places of retreat and areas (inside and out) to dine, work and play together as a group. Quiet garden areas, an orchard, an enclosed courtyard to the east and a split level terrazzo overlooking the pool to the west, provide options for recreation and dining.
In winter the Villa is heated with an under-floor system and there are several large fireplaces with comfortable seating.
Secure parking inside the gates for 8 to 10 cars. The Villa is available on a self catered or fully assisted basis. Please ask if you want help with catering or information about the many excellent local restaurants.

Why the Owner Chose Eggi
Umbria is less discovered than many parts of Italy and the small village of Eggi, just outside Spoleto, is quiet and full of character, yet close to the cultural hubs of Spoleto Perugia and Assisi. Perugia airport is only 30 minutes away and it is easy to connect by train to Rome (75 mins)and the airports there. The friendliness of the local community and the warmth of the welcome has confirmed our choice many times over.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa
The villa is a place for quiet retreat but there is easy access to amenities. The village has a bar and a shop selling a wide variety of food and necessities. Buses go regularly to Spoleto which is a destination of choice for many Italians and the home of the annual Festival due Monde. The local restaurants are run by families serving delicious regional food and it is not expensive to eat out regularly.
A University city with wonderful museums and famous for its chocolate and jazz festivals
A mediaeval walled city where it is possible to see how paper, candles, fabrics and ceramics were made in the mediaeval period.
The centre of the wine and olive oil region in Umbria. Tasting and festivals are held regularly.

The villa was a ruin at the time of purchase and it has been a long and winding journey to make the original dream come true. Being in love with all things Italian helped the vision but now that the restoration is complete we know it was all worth it. The villa is now authentically restored to its former glory to include all the modern amenities which make for comfortable living on vacation. Best of all, it is perfectly positioned in Umbria to take advantage of both the towns and villages and the rural and agricultural life which surrounds us.
