The Arbor is a warm, inviting cabin that sleeps a family or two couples comfortably - a second king bed and half bath are upstairs and a pullout sofa is in the living room. The cabin was fully renovated in 2009. The hand-hewn log construction contrasts nicely with the sleek upgrades. Luxuriate in the master bedroom's copper and stone jetted tub, or under our pergola in the outdoor hot tub. Or relax on the wrap-around deck in the rockers or the hammock-style swing and watch the hummingbirds gather.
Enjoy easy driving access to the cabin's private wooded location in Wears Valley two miles from Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Cades Cove is 14 miles away and Dollywood and Splash Country are 8 miles away. Wears Valley features local-flavored shopping for decor and gourmet goods, and truly superior antiquing can be found 10 miles away in Townsend.
The private .6-acre setting is not overlooked by any other cabin.

Dollywood and Splash Country, and go-karts and laser tag, await family visitors in Pigeon Forge four miles away and the entrance to the GSMNP is just 2 miles away! Gatlinburg's beauty, upscale shopping, restaurants and clubs, world-class aquarium, and ski slope are just five miles farther. Knoxville's airport is only 45 minutes away from The Arbor, for easy year-round access to rolling Wears Valley.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
A hike up Laurel Falls or a fifteen-minute drive to Tuckaleechee Caverns makes a great day trip. An RV can easily navigate the driveway and park by the house. Access to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park is two miles away, by a little-known and traffic-free entrance. Both Pigeon Forge's traffic and the most difficult switchbacks can be avoided throughout your stay: we'll steer to you to easy-driving back roads to Gatlinburg and Cades Cove. The Arbor is a delightful, peaceful place to spend the day watching the birds, curled up by the fireplace with a good book or movie, play games or just to enjoy the private park-like setting and view nature!

I'm a lifelong Floridian who just acquired The Arbor as a second home in 2009. I'm amazed by the diversity of wildflowers, birds, and animal life in Eastern Tennessee! I come here whenever my son and I can get away from his busy middle school schedule in Florida. The rest of the year I'm happy to share The Arbor's peace and solitude with guests.
