Our house, 13B Center Street, is located just off Center Street directly behind The Palms Gift Shop. It sits directly between the outside eating areas or open decks of two restaurants; Lazo's and Taco Boy. The house is about 100 feet from the corner of Center Street and Ashley Avenue!
The property received an extensive renovation in mid-2009. The master bedroom has a king size bed and comes equipped with wireless computer internet access and a large screen TV connected to cable with a DVD player. The ample sized master bath is shared with the 3rd bedroom and has a large beautifully tiled shower featuring dual shower heads. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms have queen size beds where the 2nd bedroom has a private bath. All bedrooms have ample closet and drawer space, cable TV and their own unique private entrance leading to the outside. The living room has a new plush leather recliner and couch a new 42" LCD 120 Hz TV with cable, Blu-ray DVD & Wii with two rechargeable remote controllers. The living room has ample space for the quality motor driven queen size air mattress to be set-up. Linens, pillows and blankets are provided for all beds including the queen size air mattress bed. The utility room has a large capacity heavy duty washer and dryer for your convenience. The house has fresh paint both inside and out with new carpet and vinyl flooring. The electrical and plumbing systems were extensively upgraded along with a new central heating and air conditioning system to ensure a trouble free vacation environment. The bathrooms and kitchen were totally remodeled. The house has a small courtyard with a new 9x12 wood deck and chairs. A covered carport provides one of the off street parking spaces available and your second reserved parking spot is just steps away from your front door.
New items included in the remodeling are: a new Samsung 42” LCD 120Hz HDTV, a new 32" LCD HDTV, the new Wii video game play station with Sports Resort software and two rechargeable Wii MotionPlus remotes, dishwasher, basic computer with internet access, microwave, kitchen table and chairs, leather sofa and recliner, ceiling fans, 2 wireless and 1 desk telephone system, electronic front door lock, all new bedroom linens and pillows with the bathrooms stocked with 16 quality bath towels and wash cloths.
Utilities include Wireless High Speed Internet connection, unlimited nationwide long distance telephone calling and Digital High Definition cable TV with many free movie channels.
We understand it is difficult to bring everything needed to get your time away from home started. To help with this we provide every visit with a large roll of paper towels, coffee filters, several trash bags and dish washing detergent for the dishwasher in the kitchen. Hand washing soap and several rolls of toilet tissue in each bathroom. We include for use by our guests 16 quality bath towels and matching wash cloths.
In the past summer months, the Charleston County Parks and Recreation Department provides two lifeguard protected swimming areas on Folly Beach during the summer. One is located on the front beach 300 feet from our house and the second is on the far west end at the Folly Beach County Park.
Martha and I personally see that the house has been perfectly prepared for each guests visit. We take great pride in the cleanliness and quality of furnishings provided for your vacation!

Hi, we are Cliff and Martha Harvey. We are listing our property, 13B Center, LLC, and would like to give you a little history of the house. The property was used as a summer residence while my Mom & Dad operated what was then known as The Sanitary Restaurant which is now The Palm Gift Shop. After my father's death in 1975, my Mom continued to operate the restaurant year round with the help of my wife Martha. My Mom decided to retire and sold the business part of the property in 1997. Since her passing the house has been totally renovated and fully furnished for vacation renters. Martha and I have lived on Folly since our marriage in 1977 and our permanent residence is less than one mile from this house. Martha and I have retired from the Medical University of South Carolina with a combination of over 67 years! We have a great time living on Folly and enjoy sharing our home with family and friends throughout the year. Martha and I not only manage the property but we also directly supervise the preparation before and after each guests' stay. It is our goal to make this vacation one of your most treasured memories! Cliff and Martha have a fantastic house! Our family had a grand time at Folly Beach, much of which was due to this delightful place! We walked to the beach, had 2 private parking spots, enjoyed an evening of Wii during the rain, and were convenient to everything Folly Beach has to offer. The house was spotless, tastefully decorated, and comfortable. Our only complaint, and this is not a large one but the ONLY reason we don't rate this property as "excellent", is the ambient noise from the restaurant next door, which lasted till a bit after midnight, but it didn't impede our sleep, nor dampen our delight in the location. Our stay was Sunday to Friday, so we avoided the time where noise might truly be a negative. We have children that were unaffected by the noise, but felt we should include it in the commentary. An added advantage was the knowledge that should we need anything, Cliff was only a phone call away and it was apparent that he took great pride in his property. Thank you Cliff and Martha for sharing your home with us, we hope to return to this great spot again!

What a nice hidden gem! I drove from North Carolina to meet a brother and long time friend for a guys get away (I'll add we are age 38- 41)).I got a little lost after taking a wrong exit that took me into Charleston. So i called Cliff and he was kind enough to guide me straight to the location of the rental house.Upon arrival, Cliff greeted me and gave me a quick tour and rundown of the place. The cleanliness exceeded my expectations and everything was brand new .Enough flatscreen TV's, DVD players and wii to entertain us on the one rainy day of our stay. Bars, dining, and entertainment are literaly outside your door.( We lived at the Taco Boy and Surf Bar!) Will definitely be back!
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

My family and I truly enjoyed staying here. The house was nice and clean with new appliances including a HD flatscreen TV and Wii for the kids. The location was perfect. It was a 2 minute walk to the beach or downtown Folly. We are looking forward to staying here again next year.
