Thank you for coming to check out our condo in Playas Del Coco that we have available for rent! This is a BRAND NEW 3-bedroom, 2-bath condo that is only one block to the beach and a short walk to the main street where there are many restaurants, bars and shops to visit. We chose this place because it is a short drive of only 20 minutes from the Liberia airport. Our condo is so close to everything in Coco that there is no need to rent a car and the taxi is only $2.00 to just about anywhere in the Coco area if you don't want to walk.
Sombras is the name of our condo. There are only 26 units and they all have 2 or 3 bedrooms and we have two beautiful pools. Our unit is on the ground floor so there are no stairs to worry about. Even though the entire Coco area is very safe, our condo does have a 24-hour guard at the front entrance of this gated community. You have to check in at the front gate to gain access.
We've posted a few pictures but we will have more to show you soon. Since it is brand new it is currently being completely professionally decorated and furnished so you will have all brand new items while you are enjoying your stay! We hope that you enjoy it so much you tell your friends and want to come back again next year!
Stay back and lounge by one of the two pools in our condo or take a short walk or a $2.00 taxi to downtown Coco, its all at your fingertips!

Why the Owner Chose Playa del Coco
When you just can't wait to get there who wants to drive a long distance from the airport to get to your final destination? Not us! Our condo is a short 20-minute drive from the airport in Liberia. We are one block to the beach and one block to the main part of town where you will find the restaurants, shops and night life in Coco. You can golf, scuba dive, snorkel, sail, rent a jetski or go sport fishing. . . all right within Coco. Coco has a horseshoe shaped bay so it is a great place to have some fun!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We wanted to be on the main floor so we could sit on our patio and jump in the pool when we wanted to, without having to go down any stairs or manuever any hallways. We wanted to also be as close to the beach as possible so we could take a stroll or bring a blanket and stay awhile. Location was very important to us and this place has the best of it all! If you need to get some groceries, pick up something at the pharmacy or just want to get a bite to eat, everything is within walking distance or it's only a $2.oo cab ride to get there.

Hello - we are the owners, Ron and Julie, and we live in Ham Lake, Minnesota. We plan to be Snowbirds when we retire and we will be spending the long cold Minnesota winters down in beautiful Coco in our condo. Until then, we will be renting out our condo so please enjoy!
We have been looking for that perfect place. We went to Costa Rica to visit and loved everything it had to offer, so we decided to make it our own. This place has everything we were looking for with the best location by far! There is so much to do or you can just take a short walk to the beach and do absolutely nothing. This is a limited time offer because as soon as we can, we will be staying there. Anyone else tired of cold winters?

My husband and I are young and adventurous, but when it comes to relaxing we'll show even the best of them how it's done. Coco and this condo was a match made in heaven for us. We had a truly amazing time in Coco and the surrounding area. While the condo reviews and pictures posted were helpful and accurate, the condo was even cleaner, more comfortable, and more perfectly located than we imagined. The property owner was very timely and helpful in answering any questions prior to and during our stay. I highly recommend this property. However you like to vacation, this location accommodates all. We had an extended stay in Coco, so we covered a lot of ground. We hiked (twice) to the breathtaking La Cangreja waterfall at Rincon de la Vieja National Park (an hour and a half from Coco), went deep sea fishing and caught 9 Yellowfin Tuna, and took several adventures zip lining, horse back riding, repelling, snorkeling and much more. We booked some of our tours with Vargas Tours and they were friendly, professional, well planned, and comfortable. We also spent a lot of our time relaxing by the very well maintained pool just steps from the back door of the condo. The restaurants and grocery stores in Coco are about a five to ten minute walk (depending where you're going) from the condo and there are plenty to choose from. The condo is also located about 45 seconds from the beach. Here is the deal with the beach: ok. so it's not the most pristine ever but it's still sunny and there is water. It's just fun, don't over think it. If you want pristine beaches hire a boat or take a day trip to one of the other beaches near by. I'd like to thank the property owners and property mangers once again for their hospitality. We'd certainly love to return!

It is ideally located and served us well on our daily tours, fishing trips, sightseeing,etc. Your place is very tastefully decorated and provides a very comfortable place to relax after a hard day in the wilds! My husband and I stayed at this condo in the early part of January. Beautiful condo, very comfortable, nicely furnished, bedrooms are very spacious, especially the master bedroom. The grounds were lovely, the complex has two pools which were very well kept. The location was perfect, a short stroll to the beach and downtown area. We loved Coco, I would go back to this area and condo in a heartbeat!

Thanks Ron & Julie for sharing your condo! We had an excellent trip to Coco. The condo is close to the beach & town. Everything is just a short walk away, or a $2.00 taxi ride. Even better the pool is just steps away. We had a full house while at the condo, 7 adults, plenty of room, and one of our guests needed the assistance of a wheel chair, with no problem getting around. The area is very safe for a early morning walk or run. The locals are very friendly and helpful. If you enjoy fishing, just grab a pole and go down to the beach and cast away, you never know what you will catch. I would recommend a trip to Roca Bruja, El Ocotal to enjoy the view of the sunset and an excellent dinner. Also, we would recommend Papagayo and Claudio Y Gloria. All excellent choices. It is also enjoyable just walking around Coco to check out the bakery which is a must and the shops. We certinly intend to make another trip to the Condo & Coco.

Okay to anyone wanting to stay in the Coco area LOOK NO FURTHER this is it !!! You will not find a nicer place to stay.The property is so well maintained & the staff are some of the best we have ever come across.For those of you that are responsible pet owners and travel with very tiny pets this is a home away from home .Your wee one is free, safe and secure at all times,which made our stay one of our best family vacations .I highly recommend that you book here and look no further we have seen nearly all there is to be seen in this area and you have just found the best !!! Just wanted to give a big shout out to Julie & Ron!! Thanks for letting us rent your beautiful condo. We spent 2 weeks over Christmas & New Years. What a festive time to be there. The locals are friendly and festive! We felt safe at Sombras as it is gated with guards around the clock. They take their jobs seriously as do all the staff who maintain the property. My favourite thing was being the first up, making a cup of Costa Rican Coffee, sitting on the patioand listening to the monkeys, doves, and some KU-Kooing bird. We watched the local Sombras Iguana defend his territory against the Tynasaur. Pretty cool, it's mating season and they change colour from green to orange. Oh ya I'm not making spelling errors in Canada some of us old school spell (color/colour) (favorite/favourite) ha ha. The decor in your second home is beautiful and compfortable. We had great sleeps and felt refreshed every day. The kids loved the pool, it was quiet and we felt like we were in our own private world. It's a nice short walk to the core, a nice detour was walking downtown via the beach! We only wished we could've been there longer. You must be so pleased and I know you'll get soooo many years of pleasure, peace and Pura Vida from your property. Thanks Again!! The Mackesey's
