Crivitz and the surrounding area, Marinette County, are home to great trails, hunting, fishing, snowshoeing, waterskiing, golfing, snowmobiling, rafting, parks and waterfalls. Marinette County has hundreds of miles of marked, leveled and groomed ATV and snowmobile trails for the novice and expert riders alike. For those seeking a non-motorized thrill, located just east of Lake Noquebay, there are over three miles of intermediate level single track mountain biking, hiking and snowshoeing trails. Marinette County also has a range of golf courses to challenge all skill levels. These courses vary in design and difficulty, offering from 9 to 27 holes in beautiful Northwoods settings.
Also located in Marinette County, white water rafting on the Menominee or Peshtigo River is a thrilling way to experience the outdoors. The Roaring Rapids section of the Peshtigo offers one of the longest continuous stretches of whitewater rapids in the region. For those looking to enjoy the view from the shore, Marinette County, the waterfall capital of Wisconsin, offers thirteen waterfalls. Picturesque, scenic and breathtaking are just some of the words that have been used to describe our waterfalls. Bring a picnic lunch along and make a day of touring them all. Most are easily accessible and many fall within County parks that have picnic facilities.
Marinette County offers nearly 50 miles of Rustic Roads which are exceptionally beautiful to view in the fall when the trees turn those gorgeous shades of red, yellow and orange. The Tommy G. Thompson Centennial State Park is located 15 miles northwest of Crivitz and encompasses the southern shore of Caldron Falls Flowage, and the Peshtigo River State Forest covers about 9,000 acres around Caldron and High Falls Flowage. Lakefront Getaway on Beautiful Lake Noquebay
Year Purchased: 2008
The Unique Benefits at this House
We love the seclusion of our tree-lined lot, while still enjoying the benefits of being on the lake. In the mornings, we enjoy watching the sun rise over the lake and having a cup of coffee on the deck, in the gazebo or from the comfort of the couch. In the summer we love to go swimming, waterskiing or boating all day and then get together around the campfire at night. In the winter we like to go snowmobiling, snow skiing or snowshoeing and then cozy up by the fireplace in the family room at night. In the nearby Village of Crivitz, there are cute shops and restaurants that we like to visit as well.
You can either drive up by car or pull up on your boat to this spacious restaurant and bar.
The Crivitz Ski Cats dazzle the audience who watch by boat or the beach front shore with towering pyramids and acrobatic jumps. Ski shows every Wednesday and Saturday evening in the summer.
If you are looking for some great down-home breakfast food, The Platter is your place.
A quaint wine shop which offers never ending tastings, a rustic home furnishing shop with many unique pieces and a Wisconsin cheese and candy shop with a wide variety of in-store made treats...
The Ski Hut and JC Powersports offer new and used boats, jet skis, ATVs, snowmobiles and equipment for sale and rent. The Ski Hut has boat rentals that you pickup right on the lake!
The "Pig" as locals call it, is a full service grocery store with a deli, bakery and movie rentals--no need to haul food from home, just pick it up when you arrive. True Value also located here.
Just a few of several great antique and resale shops are located in this area.
Enjoy a full 18-hole round at this beautiful golf course that is nestled in the woods and covers open prairies. There are additional golf courses within a short drive of the lake.
Shoot through numerous clay pigeons at this public-welcome shooting club which offers various shooting stations and remote pull triggers.
Enjoy knee- to waist-high water in this popular sand bar area of the lake. Bring your own friends or meet some new friends from one of the many boats that anchor down at this hot spot on the weekends
If you are seeking un-crowded, glass-like water for skiing or wake boarding, this side of the lake is for you! Our shore boasts some of the best water on the lake to enjoy swimming and boating.
For the true year-round angler, Lake Noquebay offers tremendous fishing opportunities. The winter will freeze the lake over for shanties and vehicles--bring your auger.
Lake Noquebay freezes completely over which allows for snowmobiling across the lake. The east side of the lake provides easy access to miles of trails which lead to scenic areas, bars and restaurants
Another great restaurant and bar that you can drive to by car or boat. Enjoy your food and drinks on the large deck overlooking the lake.
If you are looking for the best fish and fried chicken in Wisconsin you need to make the short trip to Shaffer's Supper Club. If it's your birthday, the wait staff will treat you to a song and dance.

Baranek's offers some of the best meats and cheeses grown locally on the family farm. Enjoy their selections on the BBQ at the lake or take some back home with you.
Iceberg is a true old-fashioned walk-up and order ice cream shop. This one is for the sweet tooth in the group.
Every Thursday in the summer this area offers a great flea market with a variety of goods to choose from.
Every Saturday morning from July through October this area offers a fantastic farmer's market with local growers selling the best foods nature can create.
Owner's Map of Crivitz
We are a young couple who live and work in a big city and enjoy the attractions that a large city has to offer. But it’s our weekends at the lake that we cherish the most. We enjoy outdoor activities and having a good time, but we can also appreciate the peace and quiet that comes from lakefront living.
