This luxurious penthouse affords the finest accommodations for the discriminating traveler. Located on the grounds of the famous Cloister Hotel, and a short stroll to the beach, Beach Club, Hotel, Spa, and Tennis. Features include beamed, tongue and groove ceilings, stone and hardwood floors, private elevator courtyard with panoramic sunset views of river and marsh. Oversized covered veranda provides glimpse of the ocean and wonderful breezes.
This fabulous residence was completed in August, 2009, and furnished by a renowned Sea Island decorator using sumptuous fabrics to contrast the stucco and masonry finishes.
Take the elevator to the Penthouse level where you are greeted by a marsh and river view and the private entrance. The beautiful faux, Mediterranean inspired courtyard mural in the foyer holds the promise of a gracious and comfortable home. The expansive living area is decorated in luscious fabrics of coral and sage green with a touch of yellow. The distressed dark oak table and upholstered chairs in the dining area provide comfortable seating for 8, with 4 upholstered bar chairs nearby at the kitchen bar. Arches framed by double columns separate the living area from the central hallway and kitchen area. The conversation area seats 7 around the large stone fireplace and media center. The fireplace is flanked by 2 reclaimed pine bookshelves custom made in England that reflect the design of the beamed ceilings.
You will be amazed at the spaciousness of the kitchen, which includes an ice maker and a 6 burner Thermador gas range. The oversized center island is located near a generous pantry illustrating the designer's eye for convenience and utility. This residence is equipped with a large laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer.
Entering thru the private master hallway, you will find one master bedroom beautifully decorated in coral and sea blue contrasting the white stucco walls and the dark faux painted 4 poster bed. You can catch a glimpse of the ocean from its private balcony. Coordinating drapes frame the access to the balcony. The master bath has 2 dressing areas and separate soaking tub and walk in shower.
The guest wing contains a second master suite located off its private hallway, decorated in yellows and turquoise, with access to the veranda, and affording ocean views. Also located on the guest wing are 2 additional guest bedrooms, each with private bath, and each with panoramic view of the river and marsh.
All bedrooms include large flat screen TV's with Blu Ray DVD, and most of the residence is wired for sound.
The Beach Club is just steps away and an easy walk for kids and adults. Once there, you will find 3 pools (1 adults only), hot tub, play ground, snack bar, Big George's restaurant with sea food buffet, 2 outside bars, complimentary towel and beach services, candy shop, ice cream shop, private cabana rentals, gift shop, his/her locker rooms with steam and showers, all exactly what you would expect from a 5 star resort.

What could be better than taking a nap enjoying the ocean breeze, at a 5 star luxury resort, in a brand new penthouse. We enjoy boating, fishing, walking to the beach club or hotel for dinner, and mainly just hanging out.

In the past we have stayed in both cottages and the hotel. Without hesitation, this property is superior to both. The photos and description accurately depict the experience--excellent condition and ideally located to both the Beach Club and amentities of The Cloister.
