It isn't often that our expectations match the reality of any given situation. But the condo on the river actually exceeded mine. It certainly looked good in the description with photos online. But from the moment I walked in late at night after a long day of travel, I knew I had gotten lucky. It was incredibly clean. Everything I could possibly need was there, from fluffy towels to extra pillows to a rack of seasonings in the kitchen. Simply designed with plenty of style. Lots of room. A lovely patio that sits right on the river. It was surprisingly quiet, at all hours, which was another unexpected gift for this old insomniac. It was located within easy walking distance of downtown, The Pearl and many beautiful bridges. You even get an assigned parking space though I didn't need a car since the public transportation system is good. The owner could not have been more helpful. Easy all the way around. Not only would I recommend the condo to friends and family, I plan on staying there during my next trip to Portland.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

My husband and I went to Portland for a friends wedding. I am scared to death of flying so we decided to spend a week there. I bought a book on Oregon and we picked out a few things that we might like to do. We got to the apartment and loved it! We were much more relaxed and able to have fun in the full apartment. We had wifi and hung out next to the fire pit at night. The pool was closed (not the season for it yet) but the hot tub was open and awesome! The place was clean, well kept and clutter free. We wanted to do some traveling so we rented a car to go to Cannon Beach, ect. It was nice to have a parking spot and not have to pay big money like you would at a hotel. We walked alot around town because everything is so close. The view was great and so was the owner James. Worth it.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

My husband and I decided to spend Thanksgiving with our college aged daughter and couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. The location was perfect -- walking distance to cafes, diners and Voodoo doughnuts. It was also close to freeway exits. The condo itself is beautifully decorated and cozy. We enjoyed our stay there and hope it is available on our next visit. And to the owner, who was a pleasure to work with -- thanks James!Recommended for: Families with young children, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Great modern view apartment in superb setting. All conveniences. A little train noise, but you get used to it. Walk to downtown or to free tramways.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My husband, two-year old son and I truly enjoyed our extended stay. The condo is super cozy and full of light. We loved being right on the water---I miss our weekend walks North along the river and then just across the street into the Pearl for some shopping and a pastry at Lovejoy Bakery, or South along the river to Saturday Market and then across the street into downtown. It was nice to be so close to both Downtown and The Pearl, but still enjoy the peace and quiet of the riverfront location. The kitchen is very well appointed for a cook, and the gas grill just outside the door was a huge plus. Very comfortable bedroom, and cozy living room for lounging. Both the bedroom and the living room have fantastic river views. Parking plus laundry in the condo made for total convenience. James, the owner, was very friendly and accomodating. We give this place our highest recommendation.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
