Escape to the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the sounds of the Shenandoah River. Located just 75 minutes from the Capital Beltway, and nestled on six secluded acres in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, The Cabin is the perfect getaway for couples, families or a small group of friends (2-4 people). The Cabin offers two bedrooms, both with Queen beds. Rustic knotty pine walls and a large stone fireplace enhance the dining and living area. (Firewood provided) The kitchen is fully equipped and is a step away from either an 8' x 14' outdoor deck or your own spacious 20' x 20' screened porch. On the screened porch you will find a four person Jacuzzi hot tub, a picnic table for outdoor dining and a hammock where you can lie back, relax and listen to the Shenandoah River. For those who want the camping feeling there is an outdoor fire-pit.
Our private river access is less than a mile walk from the cabin. We are also within a half an hour of many popular attractions such as canoeing or tubing on the historic Shenandoah River, hiking in the Shenandoah National Park, horseback riding, or fly-fishing on a mountain stream. You can take a drive along Skyline Drive or explore the depths of Luray Caverns, or just browse for antiques in downtown Luray. For children there is Jellystone Park with miniature golf and the Luray Reptile Center and Petting Zoo. Massanutten Ski Resort is only 45 minutes away.
The Cabin is a great base for year round activities in the mountains of Virginia. Come enjoy the privacy of your very own cabin in the woods.

This was a great little place for the two of us. We really enjoyed the hot tub, fire place and fire pit, and it was convenient to the Skyway. The style was a little plain but it was quiet, nestled in the woods, clean and very comfortable!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Great little cabin, misleading waterfront

We had a wonderful time at this cottage. The amenities were simple but appropriate: coffee maker, ice trays, cable. The house was clean and comfortable. The hot tub was glorious on the bug-free screened in porch. The cabin was secluded and private. However, we found that the location of the waterfront access was extremely misleading. It may be close as the crow flies, but you can't access it directly, and it is nearly a mile walk. Furthermore, the house adjacent to the access point has a loud and aggressive pair of dogs, who though fenced in, made their presence know. With dogs of our own, it was not a pleasant experience to get to the river and we were not able to use the water access during our stay,Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway.

My husband and 1 year old son and I had a wonderful time. The baby loved the hammock (supervised of course) and the parents loved the hot tub. The bedrooms had their own individual thermostats, which was great since the baby likes it really warm at night and we like it a little cooler. It was very secluded and quiet and a nice launching point for hiking as well as winery touring and seeing caverns. We went to look at the river entrance and thought it was much better for a boat launch than wading and swimming, at least with a little one. Overall we had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

The cabin is very clean and stocked with basics like cleaning supplies, firewood, toiletpaper, etc. It's very quiet right in the woods. The cabin has a great outdoor fireplace and bbqing was fun and easy. The walk to the river was longer than expected but we didn't mind. We would definitely come again and we have recommended it already to friends. One thing: it could use a new toaster.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.
