We recently purchased this condo. This 2 bedroom/2 bathroom plus bunk room at beautiful Gulf Dunes on Okaloosa Island (all buildings on this Island are no more than 7 floors).
Need two condo's in the same complex? Both of our condo's are located in the East building at Gulf Dunes.
We are remodeling the condo with all new furniture, appliances, light fixtures, mattress etc.
I am including a couple of "in progress" photo's. You may look at our other condo at Gulf Dunes, unit 504, on VRBO #152400 to get an idea of how the new condo will look. More pictures to follow after Thanksgiving.
We plan to have it ready by Dec 1.
Gulf Dunes has two beachside swimming pools (one heated Nov-Mar), exercise room, tennis court and barbecue area. This condo has a great view of the pool. Stroll along the sugar-white beach to the Okaloosa fishing pier, Boardwalk and Gulfarium. There are many restaurants nearby (some within walking distance) along with miniature golf (less than a mile) and a par-three golf course (18 hole courses within 15 minutes). Close to all the amenities of Destin but without crowds and traffic. On Okaloosa Island (which is approx 4 miles long), you will find beaches to explore with natural sand dunes. Ft. Walton's new convention center is 1 mile from the condo.
This condo is the place to spend a family vacation or to just relax on the beach or by the pool and read a book. This location has spectacular views in one of Emerald Coasts top tier properties. Okaloosa Island (2008) received the coveted ranking of "Best Beach Town" in the Best of the South Readers Choice Awards. Also named the second "best family vacation" falling behind Disney World.

My husband and I live in Huntsville, AL. We drive to the condo in approx 5 hours. We love the island so much my husband bought a condo for our second residence. We are retired. Craig is originally from Houston and I am from a small town in middle TN. Since retiring, we travel and always compare "our" beach to other beaches. Nothing compares to the sugar white sand and emerald coast in Ft. Walton Beach.
Why the Owner Chose Gulf Dunes
My husband and I chose this condo because we already own unit 504. Many people ask us if we own 2 condo's in the Gulf Dunes complex. Gulf Dunes is a well managed property. I love the layout of this condo compared to many other complex's on the island.
