  We had a wonderful stay in your vacation home! Our group of 10 enjoyed the privacy of the house, the pool/hottub and the short walk to the beach. The house had a great flow with an open two-story living room. Everything was clean and comfortable, we used the kitchen quite a bit, it had plenty of counter space for cooking and had all the essentials needed. The dining table was big enough to accommodate all of us. We loved the front porch with rocking chairs, a great space for hanging out, reading or just listening to the ocean. The location was excellent - very close to an uncrowded beach, off a quiet street, yet only a 5 minute bike ride from Coligny Plaza restaurants and stores. Definitely recommend renting bikes for your stay, that was a great way to explore the island or just to take a ride on the beach. All in all, a great beach house, would definitely stay again!

  We had a great time at this beautiful house on Hilton Head. My family wanted to have a relaxing holiday near the beach and this house was ideal! It was very well decorated and there was plenty of room for everyone. The family room sofa and chairs were very comfortable and there was a large flat screen TV on the wall. The kitchen was fully equipped and I cooked several cakes and prepared several meals. Everyone was able to either watch TV or read in the den/trundle bedroom in the evenings. During the day we were able to walk a short distance to the beautiful beach area. Coligny Square was very close to the house, either by car or bike ride and possibly walk if you are a walker. There was a grocery store, restaurants and many shops; very entertaining during the day and at night. The house has two master bathrooms with gorgeous shower areas. The owners were very accessible and replied promptly to all of our requests. I plan to return to this house the next time I come to the island. I would highly recommend this house.

  We arrived to the house and we were very pleased with the house and its location. The short walk to beach and the Coligny Village is a definite plus! The rooms were sufficient for my entire family and were very clean and the pictures were very accurate. We spent many evenings and early mornings on the front porch enjoying the sounds of the island. We absolutely loved the house and will be looking to book it again as we vacation in Hilton Head every year and usually rent multiple villas. We will definitely reccomend this property to friends. Thank you for opening your home to us.

  Worst rental experience we've ever had. Inside: A clogged toilet. A shower clogged. We had dirty linens, towels, comforters, and throw rugs. Not stains, but actual food & dirt that came clean after we washed them. The kitchen walls were covered with food & had to be wiped down by us. Dirty dishes in the cabinets. Outside: Garbage in outside shower as well as around pool area left by previous guests. A hot tub that did not work. And worst of all, a patio that resembled a construction zone. Loose bricks strewn all over causing concern for us with young children trying to play around the pool. The housekeeping, or lack there of, is inexcusable. The partial patio construction, an actual health hazard!!! Overall, a very, very poor grade in my view.

  Owner response: Wow, we are completely stunned by this review. This family never contacted us. We are a private owner and don’t live close to the island. We rely on our guests to contact us with any issues, big or small, during their stay in our home. We have a company hired only to help issue keys and perform emergency maintenance. We hire and schedule all other services ourselves. Our private cell phone numbers, service company phone numbers and emergency maintenance phone number are listed in our “Renters Information” binder in the home. After reading the above review I contacted the renter. I apologized and tried to understand what happened. After talking to him and our service companies, I found out that this family called our emergency maintenance in which a plumber arrived and fixed the toilet. Then they called about the hot tub and was told that a part was on order. Unfortunately, the part took longer to get than expected. If we had known how upset our guests were about the hot tub not working we would have had our pool company replace the pump instead of trying to save us money by ordering a single impeller that was hard to find. As for the cleanliness of the house, I wished they would have contacted us right when they arrived. I would have liked to have seen pictures. This is hard to believe. If true, we could have sent out our maid to clean and replace the linens. According to our maid the house was clean. We asked our emergency maintenance company if the renter had called them to complain about the cleanliness of the house or the pool area. We were told they never mentioned it. This renter indicated the company seemed annoyed at him. He got upset and did nothing more except wait 10 days after he got home to write this review. I can’t believe it never occurred to him to contact us. It seems the guests were most upset about the condition of the patio. Yes, we were in the middle of a patio upgrade when our contractor became ill. We were promised the paving of the area around the pool was complete enough it would hold all summer. We certainly could have sent our handyman out to fix this, especially if it was thought to be a “health hazard”. These were the only guests who had a problem with it. We are truly sorry this family experienced their “worst rental ever” but they never contacted us and never gave us a chance to make it a “great rental” experience. It is a shame that people like this blind side private owners who work hard to keep up a rental home from afar.

  We're a family of 13 - grandma and grandpa, 3 daughters with spouses and children - ranging in age from 72 down to 17 months. We chose this home from many other possibilities for our first family gathering in 5 years. The purpose was to celebrate our 50th anniversary, and a bunch of special birthdays (70, 18, 16, and 5). We couldn't have found a better place! Everything was exactly as advertised - and better. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen/dining area were just right for us (our youngest daughter did most of the cooking, since she lived the closest and didn't have the travel expense of the rest of us), and we loved hanging out in the huge living room. Of course, the pool and hot tub got plenty of use by everyone. We rented bikes (the owner told us how to get a discount) and road to Coligny Plaza several times. The very short (less than 2 minutes) walk to the beach was not just a perfect distance, but was a pretty walk as well. Even though there are other houses nearby, we had total privacy. The owners were especially helpful (we left a pillow and they mailed it to us!), answering all our questions and being very friendly and courteous. We did a bunch of stuff - night shark fishing (not the best experience), lots of shopping, ice cream at Frozen Moo (Coligny), and bike rides. For our 50th, our girls gave us "family pictures on the beach" by Legacy Design Photographers. The photos are spectacular! We highly recommend this property for anyone who wants the perfect Hilton Head location, wonderful amenities, and owners who really care. Our vacation could not have been better! Thank you, folks - you made it so special for us!

  The listing was accurate, the photos were current, the property was clean and maintained. The owner was responsive to emails ahead of time. I would recommend this property to friends/relatives, and I would stay again! Great location- just beyond the crowds on the beach. Great layout: We had 3 families who had enough privacy and space: one section of the upstairs closes off and houses 3 bedrooms with a bath and a half. One bedroom is a king, the other is a trundle, and the other has 2 twins. The other bedroom upstairs is the new king master with a really nice bathroom; this room is situated above the kitchen and is affected by kitchen noise below. W/D upst. Downstairs, there are 2 real bedrooms (1 King with a nice bath and 1 twin). There is also a hall bath and a downstairs "den" with a sofa bed deemed comfy by our 15 year old. Too bad the "den" doesn't have a dvd player...though they were in the large bedrooms and the family area. The kitchen table was great, and the layout of the kitchen with the island allowed many of us to be in there at the same time. I would advise others to bring good kitchen equipment. Of course, you can't EVER find a good knife at a beach rental, but, in addition to knives, bring your cutting board, your cookie sheets, and a favorite pan. There is a great, large steamer pan (for pasta, crab, or lobster cooking), but other pans are really worn and old. There is not really enough silverware for a full house (9 people), so bring an extra set or run the dishwasher frequently! The house is indeed second tier, really close to the beach, and the path to the beach is quaint and shady (and you can ride your bike on it!). You can even see a sliver of the beach/water outside the front door! The front porch is nice, and there were no bugs to speak of the first week of June when we were there. The pool is nice, but there is not a broom (with any bristles left) in that outside living area. So, throw your broom in the car, too! The hot tub is great. Read the directions so the hot tub stays nice. It's easy to follow the keypad instructions in the kitchen. The outdoor shower was kind of yicky, and the grill was a disappointment because you couldn't see how much propane there was, and nobody wants to fool with a propane tank refill when they're on vacation! Food recommendations: Sea Shack (behind Truffles); Catch 22. Riding Tigers Bike Rental. We'll be back, and we'll be better prepared! Thanks for sharing a great house!
