This is a very well appointed condo and the decor is beautiful. The view of the sound and the evening sunsets are a delight. My family and friends have stayed in many condos on The West End of OIB and this condo is by far the nicest. I would recommend it to anyone.

This was our second year back to Elaine and Mike's condo, and we wouldn't have it any other way! My family traveled from NJ to experience beautiful Ocean Isle, and we had a wonderful time. Elaine and Mike provide everything you could possibly need to feel right at home. We even cooked dinner at the condo 2 nights during our visit, which we rarely do. That gave us the opportunity to take advantage of the pool later in the afternoon into the evening hours. Having a TV in each bedroom is helpful, especially if you have children that want to watch their own programs. We all felt right at home, and can't wait to come back next year! Thanks for a great vacation spot!

Mike and Elaine, We so enjoyed our week at your beautiful beach condo. It was like a home away from home. We loved the view from the balcony. It has to be one of the best on the island. We had coffee there every morning. You thought of so many extra touches, especially for families with children. Our girls loved it. We also liked being so close to the end of the island and our daily walks there looking for shells. The use of the items in your storage closet was great and it was so well stocked with chairs, umbrellas and beach toys. Thank you so much for making our week at the beach so perfect.

Rare view on the island

We have been coming to OIB for 36 years. Needless to say, I have stayed in many units there. Typically units located on the west end is by far my favorite "end of town". This unit has something few do for the $$$. You have an amazing view of Tubb's Inlet (Intracostal waterway) as well as an ocean view. Only the houses of OIW have this best of both worlds and yes, you will pay for it! The bar height outside chairs were awesome! Morning coffee and devotional time was perfect there! We found this unit to be very clean, roomy and tastefully appointed. The kitchen was well stocked and I even fired up the crock-pot for fresh clam chowder. The beach is a short walk which leads past the pool and onto the the soft, sugary sand. I also love that they allow access to the owners closet. HUGE plus! Although we didn't use any of their items it appeared to be stocked and allowed a safe location for our beach gear. We will be back! Thanks again Mike & Elaine!! BTW the realty companies charge a holding deposit which does not get applied. Only holds the unit for you. They also require about 50% due in January. Glad to not be nickeled and dimed!

Great vacation in OIB

Great condo in OIB. Very clean and great family get away. Owners were very helpful with any questions that we had. Nice view of the intercoastal waterway from balcony where we had breakfast every morning. Condo has a nice lay out and has been well maintained. Plan to visit again!

Staying here was definitely amazing! You could see, hear, and smell the ocean and it had everything we needed for our stay! There were beach toys for the kids and a TV to entertain the whole family! A few steps outside would lead you right to the beach! The living room was nice and comfy with the big TV in that room where the whole family could watch a movie together! The kitchen was easy to use and the appliances seemed pretty new. There was a table where we could all eat. The bathrooms were very clean and the showers were very nice and easy to use. The bedrooms were fantastic. The beds were very comfortable to sleep on and there was a nice little TV in them. Elaine was very nice and welcoming, would answer every phone call, and answered any questions. I would most definitely stay here again!

Wonderful accommodation and great communication

This was our first time on Ocean Isle and after spending 4 wonderful days on the isle, I know we picked a great place. We were able to see both the ocean and the marsh without ever having to get up out of our chairs on the deck. Very easy beach access, clean accommodations, plenty of room, and excellent communication. Would highly recommend staying at this wonderful condo.

Fabulous Place to stay at OIB!

Thank you so much for the use of your condo for the extended weekend! My family and I had a wonderful time staying there! We had the max capacity of 7, but never felt crowded at all! The place is very clean, nicely decorated, already has a lot of the necessities (even a coffee maker!) and was very comfortable to stay in! It was very enjoyable to be able to sit out on the porch and see the sunset as well as enjoy the beautiful view of the beach too! The easy/quick access to the beach was great since the family likes to take walks on the beach during various times of the day! The beds are so comfy to sleep in and the kids really enjoyed getting to sleep in bunk beds! It rained one day while we were there, so having games and movies available was GREAT for us! We even used the DVR to record the Wizard of Oz that the kids were wanting to see but came on during the day so we would be outside! So that was convenient so that we were able to use it as a "bedtime movie" later! Thank you also for the use of items in your storage closet! It was great to have enough boogie boards for all who wanted to ride them to have one! Also, the box of phamplets showing nearby restaurants was great to be able to see what kinds of things were around the area! I would definitely recommend this to other families who are looking to vacation at OIB! My family and I will definitely look to see your availability when we look to return to Ocean Isle Beach next year! We all had a fabulous time! Thank you again!

This spotless condo has the comforts of home, great location and remarkable views. I highly recommend the island and condo as a wonderful, non-crowded, beach get-a-way. Elaine is extremely welcoming and helpful with arrangements. We had three generations staying in the condo and all needs were well met. Can't wait to return!

A Beautiful Condo - A Beautiful View - A Beautiful Beach

Thank you, Mike and Elaine! You are terrific hosts and we cannot thank you enough. What a beautiful condo you have!! Not only is it beautifully decorated, it is immaculate, comfortable and furnished with everything we needed and more. We think you have the greatest spot on the island with views of not only the ocean but of the marsh as well. We loved taking pictures but our favorites were of the sunsets right from our own balcony. Right now, If anyone is looking for a wonderful fall getaway (or an anytime getaway!)....you have found it here!! Ty and I are retired and thought September would be a good time for a nice long weekend at the beach. And were we ever right....everything the same as summer....but we thought even better. Early in the morning we even had the beach to ourselves and that's an awesome experience. Walking to the end of the island at low tide was another unforgettable experience. All in all, we loved every minute of our mini-vacation. Many great restaurants, golf courses everywhere, homemade ice cream and much, much more (including a terrific supermarket just over the causeway!). Nearby towns of Calabash and Shallotte were fun to visit with great dining!! Our new favorite place to stay; and our new favorite beach! Loved it, loved it, loved it! Thanks again.

Wonderful Beach Vacation!

This is our family's 3rd beach vacation at Ocean Isle, but the first in this condo. We absolutely loved everything about it. It was very close to the beach, and the condo had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation. We loved being on the more "private" side of the island, and can't wait to come back next year!

Thank you Mike and Elaine, our time we stayed at your condo was terrific. Thank you for providing a clean, well kept, proberty. The location was great. The new tv's were a great touch and so was the wireless internet. The basket of menu's from around the area was very helpful when we were choosing to go out to eat. The last night we picked a place in Shallotte, Jerome's. It was wonderful. It was so great not to have to haul all our beach stuff from home, since you were all so wonderful in letting us use the storage room. We had some friends staying in a different location and they stopped and said how nice this place was and said they may have to check into next time they come. Thank you again.

We loved the condo. It was well furnished and very clean. There are excellent views of the canal and good views of the ocean. The appliances (TV, dishwasher, W/D, etc. were great). We loved the pool and the easy access to the ocean. We'll be back next summer!

We had a wonderful stay in Ocean Isle Beach and would highly recommend this condo. This was our first time in Ocean Isle Beach, and I don't think we could have picked a better place to stay. We loved the location of this condo -- easy, quick access to the beach, two wonderful views from the balcony, and the uncrowded quiet and beauty of the west end. The pool was a nice feature, especially for a family with children. The condo was clean and well maintained, and we appreciated the well-stocked cabinets of games and movies for the kids. An especially appreciated amenity was all the beach gear that was made available to us (umbrellas, chairs, boogie boards, toys, etc.). We found the owners to be helpful and easy to contact. They suggested a walk on the beach to the west end of the island in the evening, and we are so glad we followed their advice. A definite highlight of our vacation. Thank you again, Mike and Elaine, for sharing your beach home with us.

We had a wonderful stay at the condo at Ocean Isle! It was comfortable, well appointed, and reasonable priced. There are fancier accommodations out there, but this met our family focused needs very well. We were looking for a place that was close to the beach, had nice views and allowed us to cook where we stayed. Providing umbrellas, soft sided coolers and beach chairs was a real benefit to traveling guests. We would definitely stay there again.

Great week at clean, uncrowded beach

My husband, 2 sons, daughter-in-law and grandbaby stayed here in June 2010. I love this condo! The layout, the location, the beach, the pool, everything. Rooms were spacious, everything was clean, kitchen had lots of appliances, cookware, and dishes. Had a nice balcony with side view of ocean and direct view of the inlet. The owners were soooo helpful; answered all my questions and even gave us suggestions on good restaurants in the area--there were several and they were all good. Great walkway from condo to pool and then on to beach-don't have to walk in the hot sand. Shaded area under condo for playing outdoor games or just sitting out in the shade; also a grassy area by pool for hanging out. I would definetly recommend this condo to a family for vacation.
