You just can’t beat this location - this is a lovely, luminous small one bedroom apartment on the 6th floor of a nicely-kept elevator building. The (tiny!) elevator is right on the stairs, there is a half-flight up to the elevator, and a flight-and-a-half from the elevator to the door of the apartment. Very, very French! Hard to believe you’re right in the middle of it all – the apartment is calm & quiet, but walk outside and you are in the bustling heart of the city. Steps from the Seine, by the museums, galleries, restaurants – simply phenomenal. You are in the exciting 5th arrondissement – Latin Quarter - right at the St. Michel metro station, where you will find the 4 and 10 lines and the RER going directly to both Orly and Charles de Gaulle airports.

The apartment is 25m², with a bedroom, small living room, modern kitchenette with microwave, small fridge, two burner stovetop, all the small appliances and equipment you will need, shower room. There is a small clothes washer in the apartment. We supply towels and sheets, cooking utensils, glasses, dishes and silverware. There is high-speed internet access, Wi-Fi, cable TV & telephone. The telephone service includes free calls to fixed phones throughout Europe and North America. Cleaning before and after your visit is included in the price.

Why the Owner Chose Paris Arrondissement 5

Our first studio was my husbands - that's where we lived once we decided to share a continent. We were there until our son was about negative-one-month old, and we didn't want to have to convert the bidet into a bassinet. Once we moved, I started renting out that apartment and everything fell into place. As an architect, I loved fixing up the apartments, and as an ex-pat, I loved meeting the people who came to enjoy their vacations in Paris.

Owner's Map of Paris Arrondissement 5

Frankly, I never thought I'd end up living in Paris but - you see, I met a man. On a ski trip - Alps - chalet - fireplace - well, it's been ten years. I can't give you the complete insider's guide to Paris yet, (I believe that takes three generations) but I can give you an ex-New Yorker's guide to this fabulous City of Lights.

Great place to stay while touring this amazing city!

Date of Stay: 11/05/11 Review Submitted: 12/22/11

My husband and I arrived around 2pm on a Saturday at the beginning of November. We stayed for a week. The apartment was clean and bright w/plenty of amenities (i.e. hair dryer, xtra towels and face cloths, xtra blankets, every dish/cooking utensil you'll need, laundry detergent, a giant map of Paris on the wall, etc.) We brought our ipad and the wi fi was great the whole time we were there. At first we had some trouble with the cable/wi fi/phone but we were able to get in touch w/Naomi and got it straightened out. She walked us through fixing it and offered to come over if we didn't figure things out right away. Naomi was very attentive to our needs; any questions we had she got back to us immediately. For us, a trip like this means two big sites a day, then the rest of our time is spent eating, drinking and taking in the culture. We can't say enough about the location of the apartment. Right near the metro and within walkign distance to plenty of cool places like the Notre Dame, the Louvre, Pompidou, etc. The Latin Quarter itself is awesome. Aside from a bakery on the corner of Rue de la Huchette and places to get a crepe, we avoided most restaurants directly around the apartment to for eating. They're tourist traps. But go a street or two in any direction and you'll find plenty of great spots. On our next trip to Paris, we will definitely be renting from Naomi. Bon voyage!!

Naomi is the Best !

Guest: Gary and Gerry (California, USA)
Date of Stay: 07/05/10 Review Submitted: 10/31/11

My name is Gary and my wife and I have used Naomi's apartment for 2 or 3 years now and have never been disappointed with either the apartments or our association with her. We did require some help on separate occasions and she was both accomodating and quick to respond. As an aside...if she doesn't know something is wrong because you wait until you leave to tell her....how is that appropriate ? We can only say that our past dealings with her have been extremely satisfying and we intend to stay in one of her apartments again in 2012.

spending april in paris under the roof top sounded romantic, paris was wonderful but the under the roof top was disappointing, the apartment was filthy, the shower didn't drain, the furniture for the most part was inadequat, old and unconfortable, bugs would crawl out of the dilapidated floors. clean up your act! very disapointed

Owner response:I was extremely sorry this couple was not satisfied with this apartment, we really tried our best for them. When they first got there, they did ask for a number of things - a cover because they did not like the stressed leather bench, a more traditional armchair to replace the low oriental rattan one that they were not comfortable with, a toaster, a cell phone in addition to the fixed phone that we have there, a number of other things. All of those things were brought within 24 hours. If there had been a problem with the cleanliness, that would have been the time to say something. The cleaning lady was there several times bringing the things they requested, I was there once with things for their comfort. I am sorry that they didn't say anything at that point, certainly the cleaning lady would have stayed until they completely approved of her work. The apartment is cleaned before the guest arrives and after the guest leaves, this couple stayed for a month. I hate to say it, but it is not really fair, on the day of their departure, to point to mildew in the shower and tell me my cleaning lady did not do her job. Drains will clog, they must be cleaned. Maybe I should not have left this couple on their own all that time, but I heard nothing from them. Please believe me, on the day that they left both my cleaning lady and I spent the better part of the next 24 hours at that apartment, and when the next couple came the next day, hard as it was, they found an immaculate, absolutely bug free apartment.

Perfect Paris!

Date of Stay: 08/17/10 Review Submitted: 02/23/11

I stayed in this apartment for four months in Fall 2010, and loved every moment! The location was amazing - easily walkable to most major attractions and really close to the metro and RER. The neighbourhood was great, with a lively mix of students, tourists and professionals. There were usually quite a few people around, which provided a nice sense of safety since I was traveling alone. There are a ton of restaurants, markets and shopping nearby. The apartment itself was very clean and charming and perfect for what I needed. The bathroom and kitchen is pretty small but totally functional. The living/dining room and bedroom had more space and offered quite a bit of storage. It was really convenient to have laundry in the apartment and there was never any problems with hot water or water pressure. It is well furnished with pretty much everything you need, including dishes, bedding, towels, a good fan for hot weather and blow dryer. The wireless internet was fast and I never had any issues with converting North American electrical plug ins. My favorite part of the apartment was how light it was with tall, open windows and a south exposure. Naomi was very helpful and responded quickly to any requests. She was readily available if I needed anything or had questions. She is super friendly and made my rental experience very positive - I would definitely recommend renting from her! I'm already looking forward to coming back!
