Falcon Cove - Seeing is believing!! This is a very tranquil neighborhood nestled in the forest about 1/2 mile from hwy. 101. The area is beautiful with not a lot of traffic or noise. There is a local herd of elk that visit frequently. This house is everything you could hope for when you visit the coast. This is a two bedroom two bath home with a nice airy open floor plan and large windows to enjoy the wonderful ocean view. The house has a reverse living design - with the bedrooms on the ground floor and the living area upstairs. The living area has a glass sliding door that provides access to a wrap-around deck with spectacular views of the ocean. The kitchen and dining area are large enough to provide for lots of entertaining. The area, located just three miles north of Oswald West State Park and Short Sands Beach, provides plenty to do with hiking trails, beach walking and surfing. At low tide there is a nice sandy beach, just a couple minute walk from the house. There is also a TV/VCR/Stereo and plenty of reading material and games. Previous guests have commented to "what a great view there was" and "how well you could hear the sounds of the ocean". So whatever you choose to do, this place offers it all.

This property is perfectly situated half way between Cannon Beach and Manzanita. It features access to it's own "private beach" and the house has sweeping views of the water. We had a blast cooking meals together and looking out into the surf. For us, the wood-burning fireplace was also a big plus. Each room also has its own heat controls making the place very cozy. The kitchen is very well-stocked, and both the owner and guests have left everything from baking powder to crab crackers. Also the community areas (living room, kitchen) are all upstairs and sleeping areas are downstairs. One of the best parts of the experience is the owner. He is super-friendly he takes great pride and makes every effort to ensure a nice stay at his beautiful summer home. I highly recommend the property and the owner.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We loved our stay here. The view was spectacular. We could hear the waves even with the windows closed. The house was clean and very comfortable. Everything was as described in the site. The fire was a big hit at the end of a long day of exploring the coast.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

David the owner was fantastic to work with and was very helpful in recommending places to eat, etc. I highly recommend staying here...you will have a great time! The area and house are amazing. Staying in this house was like living in a rain forest with beautiful views of the ocean. The house was very nicely furnished and well equipped. The one thing that should have been mentioned was that the beach at the end of the street was mostly slippery stones and very little sand and the access was a rickety hand-made ladder of driftwood with a sign, "Use at your own risk." We traveled to other beaches every day. Cannon Beach is a lovely small town with lots of restaurants, art and beach access.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for your review. About beach access: There are three places to access the beach. As you discovered, access at the end of the street includes a pretty rickety ladder. There's a second access point one block north (a very decent small wooden bridge) and a third access point half a block to the south (no ladder, just a pathway between homes). The County has not marked these well. We will include a map at the house for future renters. Thank you again for your input.

We had a wonderful stay at the "Seabreeze"! Quiet location close to Cannon Beach with an almost private beach. It was very rocky, so a bit difficult for my mom to walk on. However, a neighbor said that the beach changed every year, so is often sandy. Very clean and well maintained with all the necessary kitchen items. One note is that there is only local phone service, no wireless and no cell phone service. After our initial "Oh no!" reaction, it was wonderful to not be connected! :) However, make sure to purchase a calling card to make calls from the land line before you arrive.Recommended for: Pet owners, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My family and I just spent 3 nights at this cozy house. The view of the ocean was wonderful, we even saw a pod of whales as we ate breakfast one morning!! It is very clean and the company that does the rental is incredibly friendly and helpful. One suggestion I would make is the beds are very hard and some slightly nicer linens would be good. Perhaps just add one of those foam beds pads and it would make a big difference! The fireplace with wood ready to go was a nice touch! We will stay again!Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
