Welcome to our lovely penthouse condominium in The Yachtsman, conveniently located in Orange Beach, Alabama, one-fifth of a mile west of the Florida border and 20 minutes from Gulf Shores, Alabama. We are positioned on Old River in a no-wake zone and have immediate access to the Gulf and deep-water fishing. An on-site, reserved, boat slip accompanies the unit which has electricity and running water, and a fish-cleaning station is located on the dock. Our building is located directly across the street from the beach.
The unit is very spacious and is beautifully decorated. You will be staying on the top floor of a 4 story building with elevator access. Tile floors can be found throughout the unit, with carpet in the bedrooms. The ceiling measures ten feet in bedrooms and 11 feet in common areas. The front bedroom has a queen sized bed and an ensuite full bathroom.
The second bedroom has two twin beds and a full bathroom accessible directly from the bedroom. The comfortable master bedroom features a king bed, cable TV, and large master bathroom with whirlpool tub, standing shower, and private water closet. All rooms have large closets, bed frames, end tables, alarm clocks, and a dresser. The kitchen, which has granite countertops, new appliances, and a breakfast bar, is fully stocked with all of your needs for cooking. The dining area has seating for six, plus three bar stools at the breakfast bar.
The kitchen opens into a spacious living room that contains a large sofa, two arm chairs, coffee table, and entertainment center with cable TV, VCR, DVD, CD, and radio, and we recently added high-speed internet. The balcony is very large and can be accessed from either the master bedroom or the living room. Although the balcony has seating for ten (including a table for outside dining), its strongest features are the views that it affords our guests of Old River, Ono Island, and, of course, Gulf coast sunsets.
Aside from water activities, there are many other diversions in the area. Fantastic restaurants and shopping abound in the immediate vicinity, as well as in the nearby larger cities with airports. There are miles of hiking and biking trails through protected wildlife areas, as well other outdoor activities such as golf and tennis.
