Engelmann Pines is a 10 bedroom home that was formerly a Bed & Breakfast. After running it ourselves 10 years we leased it to Crystal Chalets, an English Company who operated it for 10 years during the ski season as a European chalet with all of their guests coming from Britain. We have spent this last summer doing a lot of remodeling to get the house ready for our next group of guests. We are located 5 miles from Winter Park Resort and the free shuttle stops at our driveway to pick up skiers.
Engelmann Pines is suited for large groups such as ski clubs, family get-togethers, reunions, wedding parties, etc. The house consists of a 5 bedroom area, a 3 bedroom area and a 2 bedroom area, each with complete kitchen, TV room, washer/dryer, etc in each area. We are 40 miles from Rocky Mountain National Park and Grand Lake where there are activities year round.
Engelmann Pines is a great place to enjoy the beauty of mountain living. The mountain views and incredible sunsets can be enjoyed from many rooms, decks and the outdoor hot tub. We are situated on a 3 acre property in Winter Park Ranch. Last summer a baby moose and a baby deer were born in our backyard.

Heinz and Margaret Engel have been running Engelmann Pines during the summer for 21 years. For the past 10 years, we leased our home to Crystal Marketing, a British company who brought all of their guests from England. .
Why the Owner Chose Winter Park Ranch, Private Homes
When we purchased our home in 1988 we were looking for a new career as the Corporation that we were employed by was downsizing and we had lost our jobs.
The Unique Benefits of this House
We love the Winter Park area for many reasons, but mostly because of all of the wonderful friends we have here. The climate is ideal - especially if you ski. Summers are my favorite time, the temperatures stay in the high 60s and low 70s, with low humidity. We enjoy hiking, and all of the outdoor activities that abound in the area.
