It's always a little daunting to rent a holiday property based on pictures posted on line and from an individual you've never met. Suffice it to say - this condo/location will NOT disappoint! And - Patty Cassidy is an extremely personable and professional property owner. We have rented from her on two occasions and she has ensured our stays were absolutely perfect both times. This property is kept exceptionally clean and the location is perfect. You will love the wrap around lanai and the spectacular view from every room. We're already planning next year's trip!

We felt so fortunate to find this immaculate condo on VBRO. The location was perfect and the view from our lanai was breathtaking. Everyday after our fun activities, it was so nice to come home and enjoy a beautiful sunset from the lanai. Patty's recommendations were spot on. We enjoyed our vacation so much and I would highly recommend this property to our family and friends !!

Patty and Rick's place is excellent and the ocean view is spectacular as advertised. We had a great time touring the island and enjoyed our morning breakfasts and evening sunsets on the lanai. Patty was a great help in managing all the details of the check-in process. Patty's restaurant recommendations and island tips were also very helpful. We recommend their place to all.

Perfect location for paradise!

We were looking for a location close to the beach and not a "hotel" that offered all the amenities of home and could not have been more blessed to find this gem. We found a website, vrbo.com that allows you to view the properties, communicate directly with the owners and see a calendar with availability for your dates. We were fortunate to find Patty Cassidy on this list and the rest is history. This 2 bedroom unit had King beds and full baths in each bedroom and the views from the bedrooms were awesome! The kitchen had all major appliances and the washer and dryer came in very handy for packing light. The wrap around Lanai was huge and had fully opening doors, also had a nice dining table and chairs for dinner or whatever meal at sunset. The beach was about 50 yards from your door and was always very quiet, there was a closet with chairs, snorkeling gear and a cooler to take with you to the beach. We found lots of shells on the beach and the first morning a living starfish washed right up to my wife's feet, how cool is that! The parking was covered and underground which was a huge plus for us. Needless to say, when we return to Maui, we will definitely be asking Patty if she has a room for us. if you are looking for the perfect location and plenty of room to enjoy yourself in Maui, don't look any further.

Simply Fabulous

I spent a week in this beautiful condo with my husband and two young kids and loved every minute of it. I am snobby traveler and only like to stay in high-end accommodations. I had heard great things about Honua Kai from friends who stayed there previously, and I was thrilled to find that everything they said was true and even better. Patty and Rick's unit exceeded my expectations and was luxurious, classy and comfortable. The view is breathtaking and the living room opens up completely on two sides to the ocean. This is a much nicer unit than most of the others available at Honua Kai. I would choose this over any of the fine resorts in Hawaii and would love to stay in Patty and Rick's unit again.

Spectacular view

This is a lovely 2 bedroom condo. The ocean is very visible from the lanai and the living room. The condo is on the fifth floor; thus, the entire green area, the pool and the ocean are in spectacular view. We would definitely stay there again.

Well, we have been here 6 nights and tonight is our last night! The condo has absolutely everything you could possibly ask for and more. It is so very beautiful and if you are staying with another couple as we are then the two bedrooms are perfectly suited for this arrangement. The decor is elegant and tasteful and in excellent condition. The view is simply spectacular....whales at all times of the day! The pools and beach are terrific (bring water shoes!). We spent the day at the Grand Wailea and we must say although it is also fabulous we were just as delighted to come home to our Maui condo. We will be booking with Patty again in the future. Thanks so much for a great week!

Truly Paradise!! Perfect place to spend Christmas!

My family (myself, husband, & 2 kids ages 11 & 13) recently returned from a Christmas trip at this fabulous condo and we couldn't be more thrilled. The pictures don't do this place justice! The ocean view from the lanai is beautiful - we spent many hours sitting outside - whale watching, reading, eating, playing cards, etc. The furnishings/finishings are upscale and the beds are sooooo comfy. Great water pressure in the showers. Great to have a washer/dryer in the condo. The property is beautifully maintained. We spent time at all 3 pools and loved them all - even with it being Christmas week, we never trouble getting 4 chairs in a row. We found the lazy river pool to be especially quiet & peaceful. We had many meals at Duke's and were very happy w/ them all - love the tiki torches and music at night. Aina's market (basically right downstairs from the condo) had some delicious breakfast sandwiches, smoothies, and baked goods - very convenient. Patty was wonderful to work with - she truly wants to make this a fantastic experience and she exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to go back at Maui and we would stay at this condo again in a heartbeat!!

We had a wonderful time in Maui. The Honua Kai is a beautiful new upscale resort with beautiful landscaping and a wonderful collection of pools situated between the condos and the beach. The resort is upscale and it has a nice beachside restaurant, a small market, several gyms and a spa. This unit is one of the best as it has a large, L-shaped lanai that provides incredible ocean views. The L-shaped lanai has glass doors that fold back to open the condo directly to the ocean breezes (or use the screen doors. The condo also was set up for free wireless internet and free local and long distance. The unit was great, Patty made renting easy and we look forward to going back!

Maui wow wow wow

What a manificient property. Great location and beautifully presented. Property is like brand new with all the modern facilities you could ever ask for. We had a great owner giving us lots of advice on where to go, ie restaurants and places of interest which are a must to see. All spot on and couldn't complain abut a thing. Too many things to mention but if you book this condo the owners treat you like family and will give you all the advice that you need. We will definately be going back and dont be put off booking direct with owner. It felt very personal and no pressure at all. Thanks again.

Spring Break in Paradise

We have been to Maui about 10 times, and this is the nicest place we have ever stayed. Words and pictures cannot do this condo justice. It far exceeded our expectations in every way. The view alone is enough to take your breath away. This condo is new and immaculately maintained, and has everything you could need. The king size beds are extremely comfy. The resort itself has all the amenities, including the restaurant Duke's on the Beach, which is very convenient to have on-site. Patty was helpful and quick to respond when questions arose. I would recommend this condo to anyone, and hope to return again soon.

The sliding glass doors open up completely so that you have a total open air feeling and the breezes are wonderful. Everything about this place is top notch. The kitchen has everything you could need. Large bathrooms and very comfortable beds. The entire condo's decor is beautiful. Make certain you eat at the restaurant complete with Tiki torches and the sounds of crashing waves. The 4 pools are beautiful even had fun on the water slide and lazy river pools. The owners even called to make certain everything was going well. By far, one of our favorite vacations spots. Be certain to snorkel right in front of the hotel. Beautiful. I would highly recommend this to anyone. "

The view from this unit is gorgeous! We enjoyed breakfast on large lanai every morning. The condo is beautiful, spacious, and had everything we needed - Very well thought out. We had a great stay over the New Year's Holiday. The condo is set up really nice and is almost like living at home. The views of the ocean are just great. We saw whales everyday we were there. The addition of Duke's on the beach is perfect. Patty was great to work with and detail oriented. We look forward to returning.
