We stayed Jan 2, 2013 through Jan 5, 2013. My family has been traveling to Big Bear and renting cabins for 10 years plus and by far the cleanest cabin I have ever rented! Stocked and supplied with more than anyone would expect and not cluttered with dust building nick knacks. Check in/out and parking was simple and hassle free. The kitchen was stocked properly with all the needed pots and pans for big meals each night. My son and his friends walked to the slopes and back daily, with the crowds on snow summit the walk from the cabin was shorter than summit parking. The layout was perfect with enough room for all and a long family dining table to eat together. TV's and funiture all updated. Owners were helpful and friendly throughout all communications. Quick walk to the lifts. Literally a block away, and this can't be understated as a huge benefit. I met neighbors who came home on their skis! There was a big blizzard while we were there, and I was worried about digging my car out of a huge snowbank, but the manager of the place offered his crew to get me out, and they performed as promised. No jacuzzis or fancy appliances, just a great place to stay while hitting the slopes. Jeff and Suzy are professional and made all the logistics easy. We had a group of 8 stay here from Jan. 21 to Jan. 23, 2012. We really had a great time and thought this place was perfect. The place really is fully furnished with everything you could want and all the comforts of home. It's pretty close to the local Vons so the first thing we did after checking in was stock up on supplies, booze and food, in that order :) The first night we made an epic spaghetti meal and found that the kitchen had everything we needed, even a dish-washer for easy clean up. The next day, after an epic breakfast we were so happy to get ready INSIDE and take an easy walk right to the Snow Summit lifts. Don't have to hassle with driving, or getting ready in the car. Really had a great stay and would recommend this for families or groups of friends. The only tip I can think of is be aware of the 2nd bedroom, it sleeps 5 while the other bedroom and the downstairs pull-out only sleeps two, so just be wary of where you put your snore-ers. Overall: The place has EVERYTHING, TV, Wireless internet, board games, plenty of dishes, sheets, pillows, blankets, TP, paper towels, trash bags, and soap. I'm mentioning that because we thought we'd have to purchase a few of those things but absolutely not... It's close to everything, Vons, shops, restaurants (if you don't feel like cookin') and of course Snow Summit Lifts We all had a great time and would highly recommend this place...thanks to Jeff and Suzy for making everything so easy!Did you find this review helpful? The communication with the owner was excellent both by email and phone. The owner is very helpful with any of my question both before and after the booking. Our family really enjoyed the place. It is well equipped and we only need to bring our personal items. We also walked to the mountain in the back and my 4-year-old daughter had a blast playing in the snow. My family and I stayed here in early March. The owner was very hospitable and accomadating. The unit was very clean which is really important to both my wife and I. T he unit had everything we needed: comfy beds, full kitchen, lots of space, working heater, flat screen TVs, board games, etc. The unit is located right next to the base of Snow Summit. It litterally takes 2-3 minutes to walk to the lifts. This is very convenient because you dont have to deal with the crowds in the parking lot. Also you can be the first one to ride the lifts and take advantage of the hard, groomed snow.Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers.

This condo was a comfortable condo with a nice king master bedroom. Bathrooms were clean and they provided soaps and plenty of clean bath towels. We went with another family of five and they all fit into the second bedroom because it was a twin over full bunk bed plus another full bed. The condo was so conveniently close to the slopes; just on the backside of the complex and across a parking lot. It was easy to get the kids on the slope quickly. We would return to the condo and recommend it to families with children. Positive points: Gas range and oven. 2 minute walk to slopes with all snow gear on and kids in tow. Wood burning fireplace Hardwood floors on the first level, so place felt really clean. No old carpet. Negative: Condo did not provide firewood for the fireplace.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers.

Great location, good price. Super close to the slopes. We stayed 3 nights midweek, Two adults and two kids ages 13 and 4. 5 minute (max) walk to ticket window at board rental shop (they sell all services there). Being this close to slopes is great, especially with little kids. No spending $10 per person for lunch on the mountain! If you/kids get tired you can take a nice break and head back out. Had everything we needed in the kitchen. Plus I loved the gas grill on the patio. Plenty of room even for two bedroom, could have easily slept more.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.
