The Whitehouse is not just a "property" or a "house" - it is very much a HOME. Communication with the homeowner was like talking with a family member, warm, helpful and kind. The senic drive to the home is spectacula and the view is ever changing watching the tide come in and out. Thank you for the use of the telescope - what an added bonus - to be able to check out the logging accross the bay and the crab traps We will definitely recommend this VRBO to anyone traveling the coast of Oregon. Thank you for sharing your home!.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Our family rented this home to celebrate a family member's birthday. We could not have picked a better place. There was enough room for all of us. The location was private and beautiful. We were cozy and happy and plan to come again next year!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

I really just needed to get away from everything. This place was perfect, it was spacious and clean and made me happy. Most of the time I sat and read and enjoyed the breath-taking view! I would recommend this place to anyone! The owner was very easy to work with and helped me have a great experience. I am already reserving a time for my next visit, which will be very soon!!!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Photos were very misleading, the positive of the home was the space inside the house and the view. I was very disappointed in the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the home. The kitchen especially, the oven was dirty, drip trays in burners were horrendous as well as linens for kitchen appeared very old and worn out. When you rent a home you want to cook and we did not feel like things were kept well enough to cook. We went and purchased a griddle at Fred Meyers to cook on. The hot tub had grime and an odd brown color around the cover and lip of the hot tub so we did not use it. The BBQ was very dirty so again did not use. Pillows need to be replaced in all beds. Bed in master bedroom tilted to one side and was very hard to sleep on. Shower upstairs had mold and potato bugs were in the shower downstairs. The shower downstairs also needs repair on drain cover. Overall very poor and not what we expected.Owner response: I am very, very sorry your experience was not a good one. We try very hard to have everything in order. We are a normal family that pays to go on vacation and we want very much for our guests to have a good time. When guests have any issues at all we are quick to solve and resolve. It is difficult to resolve anything when the first time you hear of an issue is in a public forum after the fact.

We had a gathering here prior to Christmas with our family and extended family. We had an envelope opening to find the sex of our new baby due in April and on one of the evenings we went to the festival of lights at Shore Acres. The house was very well furnished, pots, pans, wine glasses, a griddle for breakfast in the morning, you name it and you will probably find it there. The view is amazing. We put together a puzzle that we found under the window seat and spent the evenings playing cards next to the real wood fire. The hot tub was very nice first thing in the morning. The house feels very warm and inviting. The guest book is fun to read... We got to meet the dogs from next door as well. We shopped many rentals before deciding on this one. Amy the homeowner was not only the easiest and friendliest to work with but also offered the best value. When calling these other rental places they state kid friendly but then charge an amount per child that makes the visit financially unrealistic. I explained to Amy our intentions, them having kids as well, made us feel very welcomed. We arrived Friday and I have to say it was really hard to leave come Sunday....looking forward to next year.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We like the Southern Oregon Coast and Coos Bay is about the same distance from Medford (kids live there) and Stayton (where we live) so it's a good meeting place for our family. Amy was a pleasure to work with and quickly answered all my questions. The house was large with many areas for everyone to spread out. The view of the bay is second to none and there are many windows long the entire west side of the home. Wireless internet just got installed and that made it nice to keep in touch with family and friends who were able to join us for the weekend. The appliances (refrigerator, washer/dryer, dishwasher &stove) had recently been updated and were nice. The off street parking behind the wooden fence and gates is very nice. Overall we were very happy with the house and the only thing that prevented if from getting a mark of excellent was the BBQ was in poor condition. This home will be on our short list for our next stay in North Bend.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Kevin, you were absolutely right, the BBQ was in non-working condition! We've purchased a new one that is now in the solarium while not in use, to help keep it from weathering as fast as the last one! Next time you should be able to BBQ without any problem! See you soon! Amy :)
