Villa La Paz rests just 12 miles north of the Puerto Vallarta International Airport and is reached via a 4-lane highway. It is nestled on the beautiful Bay of Banderas, between La Cruz de Huanacaxtle ("La Cruz") and Bucerias.

We’ve lived 35+ years here in the same town in California. I am a retired California Commercial Real Estate broker and was with a major international firm for 17 years. The last six of those, I managed a major corporate account for the Western U.S. In Dec of 2007 my wife retired after 16 years as Patient Services Manager for a national society dedicated to raising funds for medical research. Our 4 grandchildren are the joy of our lives!
Why the Owner Chose La Cruz de Huanacaxtle
We have been vacationing in Mexico for over 20 years. Looking toward retirement we wanted to spend more time there. We bought Villa La Paz because we loved the house and could not resist the beauty, peace and tranquility of its seaside location within a gated community with a wonderful neighboring fishing village with its brand new marina and lots of good restaurants
The Unique Benefits of this House
We love the contrasting experiences Villa La Paz offers. We have PV nearby to enjoy the active, tourist experience when that suits us, and we have the peace of our tranquil spot on the ocean next to the quaint neighboring fishing village of La Cruz, with its new modern marina. Just over the hill is the Mexican surfing town of Sayulita, and down the road 20 minutes to the West is Punta de Mita and the Marietta Islands for snorkeling and whale watching, or just hanging out for the day enjoying gentle breezes under our own palapa at the water's edge while being served Cerveza, Margaritas and great seafood. In the mornings we love to have coffee on the Lanai and then walk down the beach to the marina to watch the fishermen unload the night's bounty to the sellers in the new fresh fish market. WE regularly buy the most wonderful Red Snapper, Yellow-fin tuna, Mahi Mahi, shrimp, and Spanish Mackerel. Then a short walk up into the village of La Cruz and it's breakfast at Enrique's open-air palapa restaurant, at wonderfully economical prices. Bucerias is just 3 miles away, with its crafts market and lots of additional good restaurants.
