Conveniently located within walking distance to the settlement on Great Guana Cay, a 5 minute walk to one of the best pink sand beaches in the Abaco's or a 1 minute walk to the end of the dock to enjoy magnificent sunsets.
Fangipani Cottage is a two bedroom, two bath cottage with central air conditioning and ceiling fans throughout. The living area is decorated in rattan and tropical prints to enhance the island atmosphere. Double french doors open onto a screened lanai allowing the sea breezes to fill the cottage.
A flat screen TV with satellite TV reception. An extensive collection of DVD's and VCR tapes are also available. A VHF radio is provided for communication with island residents. Listen to the "Cruiser's Net" on channel 68 every morning at 8:15 a.m. for up to the minute weather, news, announcements and "what's happening".
FREE long-distance phone calls can be made at Nippers and Pirate's Cove and FREE Wi-Fi has been installed at the cottage for guests bringing their laptop.
Two bedrooms each feature a custom built queen size bed, walk-in closet and private bath with shower. All linens are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a full size refrigerator and freezer, microwave, toaster, blender and coffee-maker.

Guana Cay is a very special island who's full time residents make you feel welcome. We had our cottage built after vacationing through-out the Bahamas and felt most "at home" on Guana Cay.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage
We have a community dock just feet from our front porch. But even though it is a shared dock your boat will probably be the only boat docked there. Don't have a boat? Use the dock for swimming, snorkling and sunbathing. Bring your fishing rod and catch snappers for dinner.

We had been talking about this trip with our travel buddies and closest friends of 37 yrs, and yes that means we are getting older but only in years; we are young at heart. Another friend that travels to Guana Cay was familiar with Frangipani and suggested it. I must say we were not disappointed in anyway. It is perfect for two couples, more than ample space, well decorated, stock with everything you need in the kitchen. The house is simple but with charm. The view from the screened porch is great, the sunsets from the dock are spectacular, the night skies are breathtaking and the sunrises from the atlantic side are wonderful. The people of he Guana are friendly and graious. When we left we were leaving friends. Gina the property manager was wonderful. Troy & Maria of Dive Guana are outstanding. Nippers and Grabbers restaurants are very good. You need to make the wild boar bar-b-q on Sundays at 12:30. I could go on and on; bottom line I have no complaints, all praises for the house, for the island and for it's people. Would we go back, absolutley.

This was our 1st visit to the Abacos and Great Guana Cay. I have always dreamed of the perfect Island vacation. I would say this was it! The Cottage was perfect for two couples. The Cottage is is nicely decorated, clean and well maintained. We loved the view from the porch and living area; all the sailboats on the Sea of Abaco. The snorkeling and the swimming off the dock was great, and it was only a short distance to the beautiful beaches of the Atlantic. We enjoyed sitting on the dock at night and looking at the stars. Everyone on the island was so friendly and helpful: Gina, Troy, Maria. We enjoyed Nippers, Grabbers, Pirates Cove, Milo's Fruit Stand, Dive Guana. This was the best vacation ever, and we hope to return to Frangipani Cottage and Great Guana Cay soon. Thanks to the owners and the property manager for making our 1st visit so easy.

As I was sitting here in SC, I came upon something that reminded me of our wonderfully relaxing vacation in your home on Great Guana Cay. That was so unlike us to plan and take a vacation within 24 hours of considering a trip. Walt had vacation time, but I do not like to fly or travel outside of the country. I guess that he figured I wouldn't have time to worry if he worked it all out rapidly! Ha! Even our children were shocked, but happy that Walt planned it, made arrangements and we traveled for the first trip by ourselves in our 29 1/2 years of marriage. Typically our children like to vacation with us, or we have some family members or friends that want to vacation with us. This was a first in many, many ways! Your home was wonderful, and we had a wonderful time. Gina and Ronald were extremely friendly and helpful and we met a lot of the local islanders. Gina told us about using the snails for bait and Walt did catch a few small fish off of the dock. We took a snorkeling trip and met a new Great Guana Cay homeowner (from Cleveland, OH) and his family and friends. (Gina came and told us about the trip and suggested that it would be a good time.) Ronald assured me that our golf cart would not run out of gas even though we explored the island and always had a smile when we passed by each other on the street. We visited Jerry many times for dinner at Pirates Cove and Tiki Bar (ice cream too!), visited with Milo, visited with Albert (and rented our golf cart from him), chatted with Michael (Nippers) and the young manager from Grabbers. We did manage to spread our tourist dollars around. Thank you again for sharing your wonderful Great Guana Cay home with us.
