The lake side view of house--"the Front" according to Maine rules.
Location: Crescent Lake, Mountains & Lakes, Maine, USA (35 Mins from Downtown Portland)
Accommodations: Lakefront House, 3 Bedrooms + Loft + Den, 2.5+ Baths (Sleeps 6)
Our home sits on two acres of wooded bliss right on serene Crescent Lake. Why would I want to be on a lake in the winter? you ask. The quiet beauty of snow insulates you from the stress of city life. You can snuggle in front of the wood stove or fireplace finally reading (or writing) that book you don't have time to finish.
You can master French cooking in the gourmet kitchen then soak away in a giant jacuzzi tub while the sun sets (at 4:30!). When the lake freezes, you can snowshoe, cross country ski and ice skate. Shawnee Peak is 30 mins away if you want to hit the slopes.
The house was built in 1997. The bottom floor is an open concept design furnished with stunning antiques, including a custom made 1920's Chickering Piano (it was my grandmother's) and restored dining room table circa the early 1800's.
The master suite faces the lake and has a king size cherry sleigh bed and private bathroom. There is a fully furnished nursery with crib and changing table. There is another bedroom with queen bed.
There is an attached 2 car heated garage.

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2003
We are a professional couple with a toddler. The reason we are renting out home is that we feel it will be a nice change to live closer to town for a few months--more for our child to do socially. We are very proud of our home and will only rent to those who respect our request to treat our home as if it were their own. The antique piano is a treasure and therefore there can be no food or drink placed on it. There is a humidity control that you would have to be responsible to fill every few weeks.
Why the Owner Chose Crescent Lake
This is our home that we purchased in 2003. It is a magical place--quiet, beautiful and relaxing. The neighbors are wonderful as well.
The Unique Benefits of this Lakefront House
You enjoy a beautiful space that was created to be welcoming, warm and enjoyable, steps to one of the cleanest lakes in Maine.
