Isla Mujeres is a beautiful island with both deep, open ocean and the Cancun Bay waters and vistas. Casa Roca Lisa is the last private property on the southern tip of the island, affording it unusual privacy (no neighbors to the south) and spectacular unobstructed views to the south and west and, from the upstairs patio, the east. Less than 50 meters from the cliffs above the crystal-clear Caribbean water, the house has a well-established garden that surrounds the home and provide some privacy for the private swimming pool.
Roca Lisa means “flat rock” and the property has a huge rock that juts to the edge of the shore; we have our morning coffee here as we watch dolphins, turtles, rays and parrot fish start their day. There’s nothing more magical and it just doesn’t get any better than this. We often have a late afternoon cocktail, looking out over the crystal, clear turquoise Caribbean at the setting sun behind the beautiful skyline and listening to gently breaking waves fifty feet below. The jewel-like, sparking lights of the Cancun hotel strip slowly emerge as darkness falls, but that’s a world away from Casa Roca Lisa.
The main house has two spacious bedrooms (two twin beds and one king-size bed) and two baths, plus comfortable living room/dining room and kitchen. The third room is an attached studio apartment with a queen size bed , kitchen and bathroom. It is in front of the swimming pool. The studio is ideal for a couple or family member who wants a little more privacy but still wants to be with their friends. Spacious outdoor covered patio adjacent to the gardens. From the patio, the vista is majestic and the many coconut palms provide scattered shade throughout the property and a familiar, Caribbean feel without taking anything away from the view.
The light house, and a small mayan ruin at the tip of the island and Garrafon Park are both nearby.

Year Purchased: 2001
We purchased the land in 1998. It was our dream wedding present to each other and the the most amazing lot we have ever seen. It sits on one of the highest points of all the Yucatan and the furthest point east of all of Mexico. We can see the sun rise out of the sea in the morning and the sunsets in the evening with unobstructed views. It is a dream come true and we would love to share it with you.
Why the Owner Chose Isla Mujeres
We have spent several winters in our home on Isla Mujeres. We built the house for us, not intending to rent it. Our life has changed and we can't spend as much time as we would like. I would say this is our loss and your gain. We have had many many wonderful times at Casa Roca Lisa. We hope that your vacation at Casa Roca Lisa leaves you with a special something that you will take home with you and that will put a smile on your face.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The house is the last on the tip of the island. It offers lovingly tended gardens, privacy, a swimming pool overlooking the ocean and a relaxed and restful environment. The views are the best you can get - absolutely spectacular and mind boggling, especially sunrise and sunset.
