Cillstifiann is a 150 year old stone house on the sea in Lahinch, Co. Clare, on the west coast of Ireland. Clare lies between Galway and Kerry, close to the Burren , the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands. The house has great sea views from each floor. The house is at the top of the Promenade,and just around the corner from the pubs, shops, restaurants and Catholic church.

The closest airport is Shannon , thirty miles away, which is an international airport. Allow one hour for the journey because of the roads. Allow four and a half to five hours if you are coming from Dublin Airport. Golf: Lahinch is often referred to as the St. Andrews of Ireland and is very much a golfing village. There are two 18 golf courses, one of them the famous Championship Course, the other the less intimidating Castle Course. If you're not a serious golfer there is a great 18 hole Pitch and Putt or Par Three course just a mile away, on the road to the Cliffs of Moher. Surfing:People don't usually think of Ireland and surfing in the same breath but Lahinch has some of the best surf in Ireland. The village has three busy surf schools that cater for all skill levels and ages For those rainy or stormy days there is a 25 meter indoor pool at Sea World. They also have a small aquarium to amuse the kids, they will love the sea horses |
