Nature Lovers are 45 minutes from Rocky Mtn National Park where the elk come down to Estes Park to winter. Why the Owner Chose Boulder
We live in Niwot for several reasons. Its a rural village atmosphere within 45 minutes from DIA, downtown Denver, front range ski resorts, cultural events at the University of Colorado, and the fun and amazing atmosphere of the "Pearl Street Mall" in Boulder. We have a gourmet restaurant, an Irish Pub, a Chinese Restaurant, an Italian Restaurant, an American Cafe, and a delicatessen within walking distance of the house. Winters are sunny and warm and summers are sunny & cool at night. The climate is our biggest draw.

The house has a gas stove, and open floor plan with 2 TV's, fireplace, three couches (one queen sized fold out) a master suite, a dorm downstairs for the kids, 3 baths and a kitchen counter for quick meals. Two microwaves and a gas grill on the outside patio round out the cooking facilities. There is a south facing deck, and a patio on the east side for outdoor lounging on warm winter afternoons.

Paula and I were recently married and retired and are entering the "Snowbird" phase of our lives together. We will spend the Winters in Costa Rica starting in Feb of 2010 and staying through May and are therefore offering our home for vacation rentals through the height of the Ski Season. Niwot is a charming little village 7 miles NE of Boulder, CO. We boast gourmet restaurants, a great little market for groceries and all services within walking distance of our front door. Boulder is just minutes away with the Pearl Street Mall and many cultural activities at the University of Colorado. Denver is a 25 minute drive and has a world class Mall . Skiers are 1 hour away from Eldora & Loveland Basin, 1.5 hours from Breckenridge, Copper and Winter Park, and 2 hours from Vail, Beaver Creek. All are easy commutes for day skiers. Ice Skating is available in Boulder as are cross-country and snowshoeing opportunities available in the mountains directly west. The resort Village of Estes Park is 45 minutes away for the winter resort shopper and nature enthusiast who enjoys elk watching. The whole family can have a great time in the "Niwot Village Resort!"
