I have been visiting the Rangeley and Oquossoc area for my entire life. My family has been visiting Rangeley for 4 generations. I enjoy skiing, boating, hiking and just relaxing with friends and family in a great setting. Had a wonderful stay. A great place to home base for long drives viewing foliage and moose! The spotty weather did not deter us at all. Used the canoe and kayak. The views were great and atmosphere relaxing and quiet. My only suggestion is to add wi-fi to the cottage which would have made our daily trip planning easier.
Owner response:I appreciate this response very much. I'm glad our visitor had a great experience and enjoyed the relaxing and quiet environment and well as the beautiful views. I am also very pleased they used the kayak and canoe to enjoy the lakefront and to be out in nature. The comment about Wi-Fi is also appreciated and will be taken into consideration as more travelers start to use automation to manage their activities. Thanks again and I'm really glad you had an enjoyable visit to the "Call-of-the-Loon".
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children.
