This is a lovely, unique stucco home with a Mexican folk art charm. There is a feeling of spaciousness as the rooms open and flow into one another. The colors, furnishings and folk art works exhibit the owners love for Mexico! The home was built in the very early 1940's and retains the 40's charm with modern updates. There are beautiful hardwood floors throughout, arches and many built in niches. In the large spacious master suite there is a Mexican tiled fireplace and a Mexican tiled bathroom. The backyard is fenced in with a privacy fence.
Location, location: the neighborhood is charming and is just minutes away-- approximately 5 minute walking distance to Zilker Park, Barton Springs Pool, the Botanical Gardens, Auditorium Shores, Ladybird Lake and Austin's beautiful Hike and Bike Trail. There are coffee houses, Flipnotics and Austin Java: live music venues such as Shady Grove and Threadgills, and dozens of restaurants, such as Chuy's, Romeo's and barbeque establishments within a quick walk; you can walk and even dine in at the movie theater, the Alamo Draft House; a 15 minute walk to Whole Foods and Waterloo Records. The University of Texas and the State Capitol are a quick drive away and in 25 minutes you can be at Lake Travis.

We are the owners and founder of a 30 year old Austin business, El Interior. We travel to Mexico and Guatemala and work directly with the folk artists that make the beautiful clothing and folk art in the gallery. I have lived in my home for many years and have loved it's location. We are so close--walking distance to all that is so special and unique in Austin; our large Zilker Park, Barton Springs Pool, the Hike and Bike Trail on beautiful Ladybird Lake, downtown 6th Street --the live music scene and it is just a 15 minute walk to Whole Foods Market!
