So, my wife and I just returned home from Anguilla after completing our second week long stay at La Petite Maison d'Amour in just 9 months. I swear this place is like heaven on earth. Karen provides you with everything that you might need from the moment you arrive on the island to the regretful moment that you have to leave. Once you book your stay, she is kind enough to send you a document that gives you all of the information you might need to get to Anguilla as well as information on dining (inexpensive, moderate, exepensive), entertainment, activities, etc. Upon your arrival, she has your transportation already arranged, while she and Paul await your arrival to the home. Once there, they are completely incognito unless you need them and then they are readily available. Karen will make dinner reservations, massage appointments, catamaran reservations, etc.(obviously only during the months that she is actually there). In addition, the house stays absolutely spotless because Pam comes in on a daily basis (except for Sundays) to clean the place from top to bottom (including linens). I'm telling you, it's like staying at a resort without the resort, all of the people at a resort and most importantly without the cost of a resort! My wife and I will always cherish our time at La Petite Mainson d'Amour and we hope to make it back every year. If you are looking for a quite getaway that is peaceful, relaxing, fun, romantic, etc........do yourself a favor and give this a shot. IT IS AWESOME!!!!!

La Petite Maison d'Amour is a lovely home on the beach in Anguilla. Karen's home is in a beautiful location on the island overlooking St. Martin. The home is just our cup of tea: private, quiet, and elegant. Karen, the owner, actually built this masterpiece with her own hands. It is a work of art. We are making our sixth visit to La Petite Maison d'Amour this November, and we always go to experience the tranquility of Karen's home. We always make our vacation plans with La Petite Maison d'Amour as our first choice. We have never been disappointed with anything in Anguilla and at La Petite Maison d'Amour. This is a great place to stay. You are in for an experience you will never forget.

We stayed in La Petit Maison d'Amour in December 2010. From the moment we first stepped foot on the property, we loved it. The pictures cannot convey how great this place is. The sound of the ocean waves is always there; a luscious tropical breeze wafts in constantly. Each room and patio is exquisitely pleasing to the senses and comfortable. The gardening and landscaping have a lovely personal touch, with birds and other wildlife. Karen --the owner --provided information, tips, and very gracious hospitality, even before we arrived. In fact, Karen designed every aspect of the house --from architecture to decor. Her vision and sensibility for this house are evident everywhere, including the color schemes and artwork. I am not a "New Age"-leaning person, but there truly is a "vibe" in this house that makes it one of the most romantic places I've ever been. We enjoyed exploring Anguilla with a car, and getting to see the incredible beauty, meet the wonderful people, and explore an island that we were sad to leave. We will definitely be back.

We spent a week here and then wished we'd booked it for a month. The place is very clean, it is well maintained and has a fabulous view. The owners could not have been nicer or more gracious. They were extremely helpful when we had questions or sought recommendations. The pre-arrival communication with Karen via email was prompt and thorough. She helped with finding a ferry at the St. Maarten airport and had a rented car waiting for us when we arrived. The guest comment book at the house shows we are not the only ones who thoroughly enjoyed every minute here. This place is highly, highly recommended.

Outstanding! Over-the-top! Unforgettable! These are just a few adjectives to describe this beautiful hidden gem on the island of Anguilla. La Petite Maison d’Amour is just that - ‘a little house of love’. We so enjoyed the understated elegance that surrounded and captivated us for seven magical days and nights. We arrived with open minds and what we received far exceeded our expectations. The natural beauty outside, panoramic ocean view, rhythms of the waves and warm Caribbean breezes washed over us day and night. Inside, the enchanting West-Indies architecture, decor and free-flowing design allowed the island’s beauty to saturate our senses with peace and tranquility. The owners met all of our needs quietly and discreetly. Maid service was excellent. We felt pampered all the time we were there. After having traveled the Caribbean extensively, we rate both the island of Anguilla and La Petite Maison d’Amour a perfect ten and we intend to return to this magical often.

My husband and I wanted to find the perfect "get-away from it all" location for our 20th anniversary trip and we found it in Anguilla at La Petite Maison D'Amour! The villa is the perfect size for a couple, not too big, not too small. We enjoyed cooking dinner and eating on the front porch while watching the sun set. We loved feeding the soldier crabs and watching the sugar birds in the trees. The weather was nice and warm. The beaches were breathtakingly beautiful. The locals were friendly and helpful. The owners were more than gracious hosts, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit with them. We HIGHLY recommend La Petite Maison D'Amour to anyone looking for a quiet spot for a romantic get away.

We just spent 6 of the most incredble days of our 25 years of marriage at La Petite Maison d'Amour. Time became immaterial as we enjoyed a true merging of inside and outside living, waking up to a breathtaking view of the Caribbean and St. Martin, relaxing on private porches listening to the waves crashing just feet from us, lovely gardens and a beautiful aqua and pink house with unexpected and delightful details. Karen, the owner, provided everything we needed to prepare for the trip via mail and email; everything we needed once we arrived--taxi from the ferry, rental car at the house, picnic basket, snorkeling gear, beach chairs and umbrella to use on Karen's often-private beach and of course Pamela who not only kept the place spotless with fresh flowers but offered kind advice about the difference between bananas and plantains. All of which made it possible for us to experience island living -- wonderful restaurants, grocery shopping, sightseeing, visiting with local people -- without the confinement of a resort property. Even with all the sightseeing opportunities and activities on Anguilla, we most enjoyed relaxing at the house and nearby beach. The beauty and comfort is unparalleled. We highly recommend this property to any couple seeking solitude, serenity and the chance to reconnect with each other.

If you are a romantic and enchanted by the warm sun, azure sea, and clear skies of the Caribbean, you will love this villa. We have stayed at Petite Maison 5 times in the last 8 years and consider it our heart’s “home.” The place has charm, privacy, convenience, comfort, cleanliness, a spectacular setting, beautiful landscaping, and everything you need for a fabulous vacation. Karen (the owner) designed and built the house and I really believe that she somehow managed to infuse love into every pink and aqua inch. Karen and Paul are thoughtful and helpful hosts who are there when you need them and invisible when you don’t. Several weeks before your scheduled arrival Karen sends her “pink letter” filled with valuable information about transportation, shopping, eating, cooking, beaching, boating, you name it, and she knows it! When you arrive you are greeted by your own personal taxi driver, a stocked fridge (there’s always water and Ting but they will do a more extensive shop if you ask) and your rental car will be at the house as well. Then the rest is up to you. You can spend days without leaving the property (except to scramble over the rocks to “Karen’s beach”) and other days sampling spectacular beaches and delicious restaurants from one end of the island to the other. Anguilla is a special island made even more special by this amazing place. Enjoy!

Ten years ago, my wife and I asked a good friend to recommend a peaceful island with wonderful beaches, restaurants and people. Her only suggestion was Anguilla, and it has remained for us a sanctuary for two weeks every year. My wife spotted La Petite Maison right away, we stayed there in January, 2002, and we have never once thought of going anyplace else for a winter vacation. Karen's house, as we call it, is secluded, beautifully landscaped, cozy yet airy, with wonderful views. My wife says this place is heaven; it's certainly close. The location, at the end of the road on a small inlet with waves breaking a few feet away and a wonderful little beach 50 paces close, gives us all the privacy we want, and is a great location for getting anywhere on the island.....when we want to. We can take long walks, wave and talk to very nice people, read, nap, swim, eat, and recharge without ever leaving the house. And the other reviews are right....the pictures don't do justice to the beauty and care that come with the house. It's the feeling of being just where you'd like to be that is the most valuable for us. We truly look forward all year to our time in this wonderful place, and the joy and comfort it provides.
