  Had a great time, the beach, the beach, the beach...dolphinsa dn sunrise the mourning, great hoise for a 2 families with children, the pool is big and well maintained,all around great house .

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

  My husband and I have traveled all over the world. But I have to say that our time in this home in New Smyrna Beach was one of the most relaxing, perfect vacations we have ever had. The home was perfect for our needs. Plenty of room, spotlessly clean, full of light and well equipped. The deck was spectacular, and by far our favorite place to hang out. Being right on the beach with a private stairs is such a different feeling from the typical high rise condo experience. New Smyrna is a funky little beach town full of great restaurants, shops, art galleries and nightlife. We loved walking down Flagler Avenue every night and stopping in to listen to live bands in one of the 5 spots all within 3 blocks of the beach. The only bad part was having to leave. But we will certainly be back!

  Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

  I was excited to rent a place right on the beach and this place fulfills that. But when I saw it I was disappointed. It is quite dated and the cedar used for the interior walls and ceilings makes the place seem dark. Nothing inside is in particularly good shape. We found the beds uncomfortable. The bikes and toys in the garage and deck furniture were just passable. The interior is very plain. I will say that when we asked the people cleaning to replace the torn umbrella on the deck it was done right away and they also got us a new beach umbrella. The icemaker in the refrigerator never worked nor did the power outlets in the bathroom. I think it is not a good value for the price compared to some other properties I looked at after I got to NSB. I won't be going back

  Owner response: In eight years of renting this home, this is the first review we have had that was less than 5 stars. While the rentor had some valid complaints regarding the broken icemaker and the inoperative outlet in the bathroom, both were fixed on the day of his departure. However his assertion that the interior of the home is "plain" is perplexing. This was decorated as a beach house, and as such was intended to be simple, clean and bright. We used the same decorator that did our apartment in Manhattan apartment on Central Park West. The living room furniture was completely reupholstered just four months ago in beautiful new Sunbrella fabrics. The kitchen has all stainless steel appliances. The tremendous amount of ambient sunlight coming through the 40 feet of glass looking out on the ocean could in no way be called "dark". The deck furniture is by necessity all PVC to avoid the rust issues from the salt exposure, and is the only type that will last on this beach more than a few seasons. It is extremely comfortable and we have a huge array of recliners, gliders and chairs for all to enjoy. We have buckets full of sand toys, boogie boards and beach chairs, so I'm not understanding why this is just considered "passable". We take all comments seriously and will certainly address any other issues. However I have had no similar complaints from any rentor this entire year. I welcome this rentor to try to find another private home directly on the ocean with our quality, amenities and price. I know he will have a difficult time satisfying his taste and requirements.

  Beautiful house, wonderfully serviced. The beach is absolutely fantastic. New Smyrna Beach is a very nice place. Our family had a wonderful winter getaway and can't wait to get back there again. Thank you Dr. Edelson for allowing us to enjoy this wonderful place.

  The beach house is brilliant. Really comfortable accommodation with all mod-cons (the kids loved the movies on tap). The BIG plus was being right on the beach. Location. Location. LOCATION. Loved it. Would love to come back. (Bagel World is the best breakfast you can get)

  Our stay in Oceanfront Paradise was great. It was so nice to have the deck and walk just a few steps to the ocean. The deck furniture was very comfortable and the bikes were fun to ride on the beach. The house was stocked well with anything we needed from towels to sand toys, games, boogie boards, etc. Of course we left our new toys for other families to enjoy as well. The renter is very professional and the cleaning people found my lost diamond and contacted me. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to enjoy New Smyrna Beach in the most relaxing setting possible.

  Thank you for sharing this wonderful home. I was looking for a place that we could just escape the everyday hustle and bustle and we found the perfect spot! It was great vacation for our entire family. We had plenty of space and you couldn't ask for a better view. The kids also loved the pool and it was usually just us using it. Looking forward to planning another vacation to Dr. Edelson home!

  Never had a lovelier time, a more intimate experience w/ ocean and beach. Tons of space, vaulted ceilings that give you the feeling you're still under the sky. The deck is surrounded by sand dunes, sea grass. There is an unparalleled feeling of privacy, ease of access to the beach, and utter peace. Stay away! I want to live here.

  I just have to say everything was perfect! We have been on vacations before, but this one was the best! The house was very clean and everything, and I mean everything was provided for us. We had packed all the normal essentials you would need, only to find out we didn't need them. Dr. Edelson's home had everything my regular home would have except with an exceptional view! The beach was beautiful and only steps away! We boogie boarded all day than swam in the pool at night! We were up early shelling on the beach and watching the dolphins play right in front of the house. We even rode the bikes into town a couple of times. If you are looking for a great, relaxing, fun vacation with no worries, this is the place to be! We will definetly be back again.

  i stayed here on my annual "girls weekend away" this year, 2008. The accomodations were great, the view beautiful and everything was as promised. The facility was easy to find, convenient to everything we could need and had more than enough amenities to please all of us. We would definitely return. Watching the dolphins play while having morning coffee is awesome............

  My six friends and I rented this fabulous home for our annual girls weekend and I can truly say that the home itself and the beach was truly a slice of heaven!!! Dr. Edelson, you are so incredibly blessed to own such an incredible property...and thank you for sharing!!!

  I grew up in Central Florida and spent every summer at New Smyrna Beach in my grandparents beach house. Dr. Edeleson's beach house is the only place that I have found that truly reflects the real Florida. It is very spacious, with a great loft for kids, and a to-die-for large deck with a gas grill that literally sits on the beautiful white New Smyrna Beach sand. We had already made a deposit to return this summer and unfortunately found out that we will not be able to do so, and our deposit was quickly returned in full with no questions asked. We have never worked with a nicer owner in all the years we have been vacationing at New Smyrna Beach. Take my advice, you will love every minute of your stay!

  This beach house was absolutely everything we wanted when we planned our beach vacation. With 6 adults and 3 children it was important for us to be directly on the beach and for us to have plenty of room and this magnificent home had it all. The adults could lounge in the sun on the deck while watching the children play in the sand. The local shops and restaurants were fantastic as well. If anyone is looking to stay on the beach this house is it. I know we will be back!
