Villalba is a private villa located in the Castelli Romani mountains at the Lake Nemi 30 km south of Rome in Italy. The Villa is 360 m big and have accommodation for up to 14 persons.
The villa is located on the inner side of the non-active volcano Nemi with a fantastic panorama over the lake and the valley south of Rome. Further out you can see the Mediterranean Ocean.
Villalba has undertaken a complete renovation during 2006/2007 and is more beautifully and attractive than ever.
Due the summer time Villalba is perfect for 1 or 2 families looking for a combined pool and beach vacation combined with Italian culture and food. The rest of the year Villalba is perfect for relaxation, tours to Rome and central Italy.

Castelli Romani and Nemi: Castelli Romani (or Albani Hills) is the name of the mountains south of Rome, encompassing famous cities such as Frascati, Genzano, Castel Gandolfo and Nemi. The mountains are based on a number of in-active volcanoes. Castelli Romani is known to the local Romans for the good food and wine, the recreation opportunities and beautiful nature. The area is well visited by the local Romans every week.
Villalba is located between the villages Nemi and Genzano. Nemi is located 300 m above sea level and is a fantastic romantic and charming village. It has a fantastic panoramic view over the Nemi lake, and you will find many small bars, restaurants and pizzerias.
Close to Rome: Rome is a fantastic city to visit all year around. From Villalba you only have 30 km to the city center of Rome, and as such it is a good base for Rome visits. The route to Rome goes along the classic Via Appia road.

Four families, fifteen people, one week, excellent holiday! This villa provides exactly what it promises and more! We had the most wonderful time in Nemi and the view from the villa is to die for. Villalba is perfect for kids (our age range 0-7) and there is enough room for everybody. We just loved it and wish to return there some day. Antonella and Bjarne are wonderful hosts, and they will answer to all your questions. In the beginning of the reservation processI was worried because they had not updated the calendar and the week we had paid for was shown as free. We also had some troubles with the account number to pay the deposit. Closer to our arrival Antonella and Bjarne were more intouch with us and everything went smoothly with our arrival to the villa. We were very satisfied and recommend this place to others! (I don't consider this villa very suitable for people with disabilities)Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

The house is very nice and the owener are very kindly and helpfull. You have to have a car if you want to travel near because the house situated on a mountain. There are a lake near which is very beautifull. There you can swim and rent canoes.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Villalba was better than our spectatives. The environment is wonderful. The place is very calm and ideal to rest. The house is big and is elegant well. It has everything necessary to spend a few good vacations. The car is indispensable. Roma is three quarters of hour long whith a normal traffic. Congratulations and thank you Antonella and Massimi. I would return with the closed eyes.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

It is possible to rent the house on a weekly basis or just weekends – also extended – the rest of the year. At the moment it is possible to rent Villalba with 3 bedrooms (up to 7 persons) or the entire house with 3 more rooms on the 1st floor (up to 14 persons). Some weeks can only be rented if you book the entire house. You will ALWAYS have the entire house for yourself. We DO NOT rent the house to two renters simultaneously. If you have any special wishes then please contact us.
