  My family and I checked in to the house on May 1 for a week stay. The home met and exceeded our expectations. The pictures are exactly as the home appears... actually i would say that the photos do not do this place justice. The resort employees were very friendly and we enjoyed the playground, heated pool and hot tub at the clubhouse. My children DID NOT want to leave. Having the pool at the house was very convenient and made for relaxing evenings when the parents and grandparents were tired, but the kids wanted to keep going. It's location to Disney is perfect, close enough that you get the entire Disney experience, but far enough away that you can escape the madness. The house was also very affordable and the owner is super responsive. After our first day there we started planning our next trip back. A great big "Thank you" to David and his family for sharing their home with us. I look forward to the next time we are able to head back to Kissimee for a stay at Mickey's Escape. You have convinced me that renting a home like this is the only way to take a vacation. Beats any hotel!!

  We just returned from our stay at David's home in Kissimmee. The home accommodated our family very well, 4 adults and 2 children. We all enjoyed having our own pool. There is a pool fence for safety as well as an alarm. The home was plenty big and the pictures and description were accurate. The property and resort are well maintained. The communication with David was good. He provided us with info for the area and was quick to respond to any questions we had. The rental management company was very good as well. There is security and gated entrance at the resort. We would recommended this property to others. We liked the location...especially being close to Celebration. We love Celebration and many of the restaurants are very good. The Town Tavern in a favorite. We go at least 2 or 3 times during a weeks stay. My brother and sister in law tried Columbia in Celebration and came home raving about the steak flambéed in brandy. Fun Fact...the deserted area (on Formosa Garden Blvd) on the way to the home was a theme park....called Splendid China. Check out the Internet for more info and pics...very interesting.

  This condo was exactly as pictured in the photos, spacious, clean, well decorated, and in good repair. The property has plenty of room to accomodate two families of four and my extended family was very impressed with it. Having a private pool is a very nice luxury for a vacationing family and the pool has plenty of safety fencing to keep little ones out. The location is excellent for people wishing to visit Disney and this property is very well suited to families with small children. The amenities afforded at the clubhouse are nice but we didn't use them. Here is the only downside (none of which are particularly important but I think it helpful to know that this glowing review is also critical): Recommend staying away from the clubhouse bar (awful drinks), and bringing your own laundry detergent, dish washer detergent, and dish soap since none or very little is provided (not a big deal since you can simply purchase these at a grocery but bringing your own eliminates waste). Recycling/trash pickup was difficult to figure out. We put these items on the curbs on their allotted days and they were not taken. Not a big deal since the bins were only half full (maybe they wait for full bins?) Some felt covers on the kitchen chairs would also reduce squeeks that wake up Grammy and Papa when the little ones get up early for breakfast. That really is the only negatives we had and they are very minor. I would highly recommend this property and plan to stay here each time my family and I visit Disney.

  Owner response: Thank you for the wonderful and objective review. We always appreciate hearing back from guests and strive to take action where we can to make improvements. We have been able to address two points brought up. First we have had felt pads placed on the bottoms of each kitchen chair to eliminate the noise problem. (Great suggestion!) Secondly, the new county recycling program and new pick up days has been somewhat confusing. We have posted new signs in the kitchen to clarify the pick up days for trash and recycling. We are also pleased to announce that our Home Owners Association now has a team in place to move trash cans to the curb on appropriate evenings and return the cans to the side of the house after collection. This great new service will really make things easy for our guests!

  This house was perfect for our group of 6 adults (2 got their own room and the other 2 couples shared). It was great to have 3 full bathrooms so that made 2 people for each one. The house was even better than the pictures, which were very appealing. It was spotless and comfortably furnished. I had the master with a king sized bed, very large bathroom and walk in closet - I felt like I was in a luxury hotel, but even better, we had a very nice full kitchen, two living areas, large dining room and our own private heated pool. Emerald Isle is a very nice gated community with a clubhouse. They had happy hour, a bar by the pool and a workout room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This would be great for families too. I would definitely stay here if I returned to this area.

  Had a total of 8 in our party, 5 adults & 3 kids. Size of home was very adequate. Listing description including location, layout, amenities were all correct. Pictures are all correct and exact. Property was clean and well maintained. Neighborhood is upscale and gated making my early morning runs a pleasant experience. David was a pleasure to work with and always very responsive to my e-mail inquiries. The property was vacant prior to our arrival so we were allowed an early check-in free of charge. Kids loved the pool. pop-a-shot, & foosball table! Disney property partkinglots are a short 10-15 min drive. Universal & Seaworld are about 25-30 min drives. Target is 5 min away allowing us to easily stock up on supplies. We would stay again without hesitation! :)

  I was looking for a place to accomodate my family for the Thanksgiving Holiday. The Emerald Resort is a great atmosphere for children. My grand children enjoyed the clubhouse pool and the food at the Tiki Bar. The house was very spacious and provided the right accomodations for 5 people. My grandchildren especially enjoyed the game room. This location is ideal to visit all the attractions that Orlando has to offer. You are with-in minutes of all attractions and shopping. I was very impressed with the owner communication post and pre to our visit. I would definately recommend Mickey's Escape and look forward to our next visit.   We rented this vacation home with two other couples. Everyone was very pleased. The home is spacious and the home’s paint, tile, carpet and furniture all very new. The kitchen was fully appointed. My wife enjoyed having meals on the “beautiful Florida-themed china”. Bath towels were plentiful and new. We quickly felt “right at home’” in the house. The property is in a gated community which added to our peace of mind. The community has a modern club house with a pool, exercise room, wi-fi access (which we also had in the home), arcade games and a staff that was not only friendly but also personable. We used the exercise equipment (top-of-the-line) and asked the staff to print our airline boarding passes which they were more than happy to do. Location was important to us and we were not disappointed. The owner provided us with information about the area including short cuts to the various parks – everything was close. For example, it took us about 15 minutes to get to Epcot. The owner also gave some restaurant recommendations. There are plenty of good restaurants very close to the home. Our favorite meal was dinner at the BoneFish Grill near Epcot and we noticed a brand new BoneFish Grill is about to open a few miles from the home. Excellent stay! My wife and I want to book another stay asap!

  We used this beautiful home for a week-long vacation of 3 couples to the Orlando area with visits to Disney World, Sea World, Kennedy Space Center and the beach in Clearwater. It is simply wonderful, beautifully decorated, spacious, clean and very comfy. Everything you would want in a vacation home. The 3 full baths were a plus for getting ready each day. A large roomy kitchen with 2 dining areas was very helpful and having a washer/dryer in the garage was a plus. We appreciated the convenient access to the workout room and pool at the clubhouse which is in easy walking distance. The location is close to major Orlando parks, nice restaurants and shopping. We were impressed with the owner's commitment to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend this home for an Orlando area vacation. You won't be disappointed.

  Mickey's Escape is simply great! The descriptions and photographs are exactly what you are going to find there. The house is very well maintained and it was very clean when we arrived. It is really comfortable for 10 people. David were great at all times clarifying all doubts that came to our party prior to the date. The Villa Direct Team were very helpful when we need them. The closest disney park is Animal Kingdom, 10 minutes by car. The surroundings are well served from restaurantes and supermarkets. We had a great time at Mickey's Escape. It is already part of our best memories of the vacation. A pity we couldn't enjoy everything Emerald Island Resort offers since we were focused on the parks. Maybe a next visit to relax, who knows? We truly recommend Mickey's Escape!!!
