Welcome to the Captain’s Quarters! We are located in the quaint village of Nanticoke, MD. If you’re looking for peace and tranquility for your next vacation, this is where to find it. The only traffic you’ll encounter may be at the nearby boat ramp, and then only on the busiest holiday weekends. This is a true Chesapeake paradise.
Our home has some partial waterviews year-round and these increase as the leaves fall. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs with a king and full bed in either. A twin bed is in the separate downstairs room where space also exists for a cot or air mattress. Our home is well-maintained and fully furnished. Kitchen appliances and cookware/eatery are provided, as well as linens and towels.
There are public beaches within a 2-3 minute walk. Some of the best fishing and crabbing in the Bay is out our back door which is the Nanticoke River and Tangier Sound. Crabs, rockfish, trout, flounder, blues, drum, croaker, perch…we catch them all at various times of year.
The beach and jetty are a 2-5 minute walk. If you prefer, you can bring your own boat. It will take you longer to hook up your trailer than it will to drive to the nearby public ramp and marina. Local, independent captains may also be available for charter as well.
Hunters and nature lovers will have easy access to nearby Nanticoke Wildlife Management Area. Whitetail and sika deer abound, as do turkeys, waterfowl and many other types of wildlife and game.
Nanticoke is approximately 30 minutes from Salisbury and just over an hour to the Ocean City inlet. These and other local points of interest make for great excursions or day trips. Or, you can just sit back and relax in our Chesapeake paradise.
