    • Chris and Dennis, Thanks so much for providing such a Beautiful, clean and comfortable cottage. We loved the serene setting of your cottage that gives spectacular views of the lake. Even though we didn't go swimming the sandy beach in front of the cottage was very inviting and relaxing as we sat and watched the boaters and sea doers. We took many pontoon rides to enjoy the tranquility that Long Lake offers. Such as the lone Loon floating around the lake. Saturday the lake was as calm and smooth as could be. We even viewed a beautiful sunset from our Pontoon ride. We fished off the Pontoon boat and paddle boat. We even caught fish that were big enough to eat. If you could have seen the guys faces when they caught the fish, you would have thought they caught 20 pounders. It was priceless. The fire pit was a great conversational area as we watched twinkling stars cover the dark sky and roasted marshmellows. It's crazy how the flicker of a fire will captivate you as you watch the flames flicker and dance. Your game room is exceptional with the Pool table and Foosball table. After many games of pool Stephanie and Norm are still the King and Queen of pool. your cottage (beautiful home)has so much to offer, we had a blast! We were sorry the weekend went so fast. We highly recommend your cottage at Long Lake to everyone and we look forward to renting your cottage again. P.S. The dollar game is a great tradition and a lot of fun. Thanks so much again! • What a beautiful chalet!!! It was a treat to stay in a place so spacious and that has everything you could need or want. The house is spacious and clean; the property plentiful, the lake clear, the neighbors friendly. Our family enjoyed all the games available, though us old folks had slow reflexes during Foosball-- a game for the young. Thanks for being so warm and welcoming without even being there!!! Definately a place to go again and again. This could be a tradition:)

    • Our family had a wonderful time at the Chalet. It was very beautiful, spacious and full of amenities. While the weather was great most of the time, the few times it did rain provided great views of watching the storm over the lake and also spending time improving our game of pool skills. The sand bar was great, fishing off the dock and the pontoon boat was awesome and the neighbors were very friendly and hospitable. Hale is a neat little town (our 3rd time there) and The Bear Store ice cream cones gave the Hale Ice Cream store a run for the money. Many great memories were made during our week. Thanks for opening your Chalet up to us.

    • This was our first family vacation in years and what a success! Such a beautiful "cottage" with all the ameneties you could ask for.Lots of room too,so if needed, you could have your own space. The lake was warm and shallow, and the pontoon boat was a blast to just cruise around in. Thankyou for opening your beautiful cottage to guests.

    • We returned for our second trip to the Chalet this summmer, and it was every bit as enjoyable as the first trip. The Chalet is top notch, and especially clean. The sunsets are incredible and the weather was perfect. The fishing was good, even right off the dock. We even saw a bald Eagle flying over the lake. Long Lake is also home to a few loons, which you can hear calling across the lake at dawn and dusk. We are looking forward to a return trip in 2008. Jeff, Jenny and Family

    • The photographs on the site here just don't do the chalet justice. It is far larger than we had anticipated as well as wonderfully clean and modern. It far exceeded our expectations. Our goals was to find a vacation rental on a lake that would be safe and fun for our children, both under 5. This place fit the bill perfectly. The lake has an enormus sandbar, probably 1/3 mile long, that is no more than waste deep for adult and is a great water wanderland for kids. It's a short paddle boat across the lake. The lake itself has good panfishing and while it gets pretty busy on weekends, it was wonderfully quiet during the week: a nice balance. One other point, the chalet has central air conditioning -- a huge bonus. While we avoided using it generally prefering the lake air/breeze, we had a coule 97 degree days where it sure did come in handy. In short, a wonderful place with wonderful host/owners. Highly reccommnded!

      Homeowner Response:
How wonderful it is to have wonderful rentors that also enjoy what we have enjoyed for years.

    • We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation “up-north”. There were so many things that we loved about our trip. The Chalet is even more impressive when you see it in person. It is one the nicest places on Long Lake. There was plenty of room for all of our stuff and the Chalet was easy to keep clean. It had all the amenities of home, which you don’t often find at a vacation cottage. I was also particularly pleased that the Chalet is a no smoking home. Over the course of the week, we had approximately a day/day and a half of rain, but it was no problem, since we could occupy our time with the pool table, foosball table, and checkers in the game room. The lot is level to the lake and offers plenty of room to move around. A nice feature of the lot is that you can always find a spot in the shade, or move out into the sun at all times of the day. Our two-year old daughter loved playing at the sandy beach and in the lake. We all enjoyed catching pan-fish of the end of the dock. The dock was plenty roomy for our 18 ft. Ski boat and our Jet-Ski. We barbequed and ate dinner on the deck just about every evening, followed up by a campfire in the fire pit. One of the things that I enjoyed the most, were the quiet mornings either on the deck or out on the dock, watching the sun come up with a cup of coffee. This vacation gave us memories that will last a lifetime. The Heyers, Lincoln Park, Michigan
