Best vacation we have ever had

I dont know where to start for real. 3 couples from Canada came down knowing from the photos the house was great. The pictures do not do it justice. It was the most beautiful place we have ever stayed. We had excursions planned before we got off the plane and all that changed once we arrived in paradise. We never wanted to leave the house. All three bedrooms in the main house are huge and clean. The entire house is constructed of marble and natural stone, the outside patio is awesome with fans and comfortable couches. Walking into the front entrance we all started laughing at how amazing this place was and how we didnt deserve to be there. Once the guilt left us we lounged around the pool all day, drank the local beer and grilled out in the terrace. The ocean is literally 50 feet from the pool and its gorgeous. During low tide there is a mixture of white sand and rocks that make it like no other beach I have stayed on in my life. At high tide the water is aggressive so you dont want to swim at night. But during low tide we snorkelled directly out front of our place and it was comparable to the half day trip we took in taramindo. The pool is the coolest Ive swam in at a private home, it was always clean and the perfect temp. The staff, my god the staff. Our house keeper was the nicest and cutest lady in the world. She had coffee waiting for us every morning and helped out with laundry. Mario our security guard (although we had a hard time understanding each other lol) became our friend. He watches over the property at night and we would see him trolling the grounds till the early hours. We felt safe every moment at this place. Brian King has a special team here that know how to make a vacation perfect. Brian himself was available every time we needed something and helped us plan our day trips and where to eat in town. Im trying to think of a negative but there really isnt any. I guess the only negative for some (not in our group) would be the mixture of rocks and sand at the beach. We loved it as its like nothing we have ever seen. Its worth a walk to the Barceló end of the beach during low tide or the walk to tarimindo is fun as well. Brian also arranged for our own private chefs for two night. The Costa Rica cuisine was to die for. They cooked surf and turf one night and chicken the other. After dinner we all made our way to the covered terrace (my favourite part of home) for wine and cigars. Thanks Brian!

We live in NY, Hong Kong & London and have traveled extensively. My husband & I found this to be one of the best holidays we've ever taken...(and we take a lot of holidays).The house is spectacular and the staff, impeccable. They were always happy and helpful to make sure our stay was a great one. We were very comfortable and impressed with the incredible beauty in and around the house. There was tremendous attention paid to detail from the decor to the arrangement of our transportation & activities.I highly recommend staying at this villa and hope to return myself in the near future.

My fiance and I rented Villa Marrakech late November & early December 2007 to house family prior to our nearby beach wedding & reception in a local restaurant.We were very pleasantly surprised that in person the villa, grounds & staff are even better than the website descriptions & view from the beach.We renamed the outdoor upstairs bed the "Marrakech Planetarium" for its spectacular stargazing.The experienced & friendly staff cooked our breakfast & did some personal laundry at no extra charge, and went above-and-beyond when one of us needed some medical help.The gym overlooks the pool & ocean, and includes a heavy baq, free weights, a modern elliptical trainer & other equipment.The house was in full working order, nicely furnished, and freshly stocked on our arrival with a starter supply of beer, soda, eggs & tortillas. There are lots of spices & condiments in the kitchen and top-quality cooking equipment. The master bed was large and as comfortable as those found in 5-star hotels. Our guests reported that the other bedrooms are similarly comfortable.When it came time to check out, the process was simple and our security deposit was returned in full with no hassle at all.The week we spent at Villa Marrakech was one of the best we've had in decades of global travel. Now happily married, my wife Meredith and I thank Brian and his staff (Iris, Edita, Alejandro, Mario & others), for treating us so kindly, and we offer our highest recommendation.
