We stayed in this house for a week and did not want to leave! We had everything we needed for a peaceful and relaxing vacation. Thanks so much for the pet friendly home it is great to be able to bring our dogs because they are a part of the family. We enjoyed Hunting Beach and trips into Beaufort. We do plan to return next year.

Spent the month of February 2011 here and enjoyed the coziness of the home. It felt as though we were living amongst the trees with wonderful views out the large windows. We loved going to the Tower deck, even Charlie (our dachshund) knew which doors led to it! Enjoyed many restaurants in the area-be sure to try Gullah Grub & meet Osshie & her chef Dad. Took day trips to Savannah and Charleston to revisit places we have lived in the past. My brother-in-law & wife came to visit and loved it so much, we had to make them go home!! Hunting Island was so beautiful & we went several times collecting shells and touring the lighthouse. Kathy, the owner, was like meeting an old friend & I enjoyed working with her on the rental. We would recommend this rental to others - just not for the time we want to rent it again!!

We stayed at this property the week of July 10th. It is in a very quiet and peaceful area within walking distance of the beach. The house was clean and very well equipped. It has a nice screen porch over looking the marsh. Beaufort and everything you need is close by, shopping, St Helena state park. The rental agent was very helpful and was easy to reach by phone. We would definitely stay here again.

We are 50-somethings that were looking for a place that was both relaxing and beautiful. This home fit the bill better than we could have hoped for. At the end of a lane, it is nestled in trees, overlooking a marsh, with a constant warm breeze and birds that sing and give the area an incredibly peaceful far-away feel. The house itself is very nice, clean and well-maintained. The pictures on the website, while accurate, don't do it justice. It's a comfortable two bedroom with a nice kitchen and a fabulous screened-in porch at the back of the house. And large windows that overlook the marsh and trees. St. Helena is a lovely island without lots of tourist traps - exactly what we were looking for. The home is very close (about 5 minutes in the car) to Hunting Island State Park, a beautiful long sand beach on one side of the island and a salt marsh on the other. The owners were helpful and accessible throughout our stay. We would highly recommend this house.
