We know you will fall in love with our cottage, just as our family did when we purchased it eight years ago.
Our cottage features two bedrooms and a private, upstairs sleeping loft. Comfortably sleeps eight people and has everything you will need for a wonderful relaxing vacation. Cozy family room with cathedral ceilings and a warm, glowing fireplace provides ample space and snuggly nights. Fully furnished kitchen will provide you with everything you need for warm meals and cold drinks! All you will need to pack is your clothes, bathing suits, and towels!
The cottage is located at the south end (on Torch River), and is just a short boat ride from your back yard to beautiful Torch Lake. Two large decks for outdoor activity, sunbathing, reading a book, or simply relaxing and watching boats gracefully make their way down the river. The lot has several large shade trees, offering a cool breeze for those that need to take a break from the sun!
A few extra features our cottage has the luxury of offering: A boat dock in our backyard with a boat rental location just a short distance down our street! One of the best, full-service lake-front restaurants just 3 minutes down the road! Plus, as you float your way to the main body of water... tie off at the waterfront Party/Liquor store to stock up on goodies for your day on the water and sandbar! A feature that only riverfront properties can offer!
Experience Torch Lake's crystal clear waters, sandy bottoms and gorgeous sunsets. Recognized by National Geographic as one of the three most beautiful lakes in the world. It is located on the "Chain of Lakes" with several lakes and rivers connected and navigable. Torch Lake is so beautiful due to its unique color, a mixture of greens, blues, and turquoise. Very similar to the Caribbean.
The surrounding communities offer a wide variety of artistic and cultural pursuits, excellent shopping and antiquing, along with a large assortment of restaurants, allowing you to explore many historic, picturesque, and quaint villages and towns.
We typically Rent by the Week; Sat to Sat, but will consider other and shorter itineraries for a small premium. Bed linens are provided, but please bring your own towels.

Recently retired couple living near Saginaw. Enjoy all the things that this area has to offer, including winter skiing. Raised (and somehow survived) raising three boys and now looking forward to enjoying retirement!
Why the Owner Chose Torch River
After our first family trip to Torch Lake many years ago we were hooked! We knew we would be spending much more time in this magical place as our boys were growing up. We decided to purchase our cottage in 2002, as our vacation property, rather than continue to rent other properties. This allowed us year-round access in the Northwestern part of Michigan, a place we have always enjoyed traveling during our lives. Our family has created many priceless memories at our cottage, and now with our children all grown... we want other families to be able to create their own wonderful "Torch Lake" memories!
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
You just need your clothes/bathing suit, and beach towels! We provide the rest! The kitchen has just about everything that you will need to prepare meals and drinks! The cottage sits on a large lot, allowing plenty of room for bombfires at night, or for the kids to kick the ball around in the yard. The fireplace keeps you cozy at night, while the fresh air from the doorwall fills the cabin. The short journey down the river to the main part of Torch Lake features stunning views and provides a bit more privacy.
