Escape to our lovely 3 Bedroom 2 ½ Bath vacation home on Sea Pines Golf Resort in the charming Central Coast hamlet of Los Osos. Our home features a sparkling Jacuzzi, sunroom, fireplaces in both the living room and family room, and a stunning panoramic view encompassing Morro Rock, Morro Bay, sand dunes and the ocean. All of the bedrooms are on the lower level and feature French doors that open onto the Jacuzzi deck. The living room, dining area, family room, kitchen, and sunroom are upstairs, providing plentiful spaces for loved ones to gather together or be cozily apart. With 1 King bed, 1 Queen bed and a kids bunkroom featuring 2 sets of bunk beds, our home comfortably accommodates up to two families.
Stroll out the front door to explore wild wetlands, the trail over the dunes to the ocean, or the mysteries of Monarch Grove forest’s thousands of migrating butterflies. Search for hidden treehouses, rope swings, and hideouts in the eucalyptus grove nearby. Enjoy kayaking in Morro Bay and discovering the dramatic beaches, tidepools and cliffs of Montana De Oro State Park. Ramble along beautiful bayside trails in nature preserves like Los Osos' Elfin Forest and Sweet Springs Nature Preserve, or enjoy a round of golf at one of the area's many scenic golf courses. Why the Owner Chose Los Osos
We have visited our extended family in Los Osos regularly for the past 15 years, and always imagined ourselves retiring in the Valley of the Bears. When we came to visit in the summer of 2009, we fell in love with a house on the golf course with stunning views of Morro Bay and the dunes from every room. The Los Osos neighborhood of Sunset Terrace is a beautiful and quiet residential area, safe for kids to explore and ride bikes and full of friendly neighbors. Although it is a bit early in our lives, we decided to take the plunge and purchase our retirement home now! Because we are unable to live in Los Osos full time yet, we want to make our beautiful yet cozy home available to other families who seek an escape from the stress and duress of daily life.
The Unique Benefits at this House
An advantage to staying in our vacation home in Los Osos is that our family stays here regularly ourselves -- this is truly a vacation "home" not a vacation "rental". When you think about it, one of the main activities you will be engaged in at our home in Los Osos is sleeping! Nothing completes an amazing vacation getaway like sleeping in a bed that is as comfortable as your bed at home. Our king and queen mattresses have heavenly memory foam pillow tops. Snuggling into luxury sheets in a cool and quiet room is our perfect recipe for an excellent night's sleep.
Over the years our family has rented many vacation homes as a wonderful way to share holiday adventures with out-of-town family or friends. Our two kids always wanted to sleep in the same room with their friends or cousins, but we rarely found a 3-bedroom home that could accommodate all of the kids together in beds. So when we furnished our vacation home, we placed TWO sets of bunk beds in the kids room so that kids and their parents could all enjoy a good nights sleep in their own rooms.
Our family loves the extremely comfortable sleeping accommodations at our vacation home in Los Osos and are confident that you will enjoy sweet dreams during your stay.

Whether we are hiking, exploring, beachcombing, or mellowing out in our Jacuzzi, we seek out spots that are full of exciting things to do surrounded by natural beauty. Davidson is our gourmet cook; Debby delights in photography; the kids enjoy the freedom to explore our peaceful and safe Los Osos neighborhood by bike and scooter, or search for fairies and dragons in the magical eucalyptus grove, wetlands, and dunes found steps from our front door.

Great place to stay

Our family has been to Los Osos many times over the last ten years or so, and we've stayed in more than a few motels, condos, and homes. Often the photos and the listing makes a place seem a lot better than it turns out to be, but that's not the case with this house. I would go so far as to say that this house is better than the listing makes it out to be. The backyard is adjacent to the fairway of the Sea Pines GC. You have great views from almost any window in the place. Unlike many rental homes, which are filled with a hodge-podge of estate sale/garage sale furniture, this one is actually tastefully furnished with comfortable furniture and beds. You can tell that the owners actually stay here once in a while. The street is very quiet, and so are the neighbors. The setting is very tranquil and peaceful. At night, when there are no clouds in the sky, the view of the stars is spectacular. There's no Internet or video gaming console, which is a good thing, in my opinion. The kitchen is very functional and the table can comfortably accommodate six people; there is an additional table in the sun room which can seat four more. We had a great stay. I brought my road bike and enjoyed riding out to Montana de Oro State Park and San Luis Obispo. The rides were a great change of pace from what one typically can find in Orange County, which is where we live.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

My family of 7 (5 adults and 2 kids) just reunited from different parts of the country to enjoy a vacation on California's breathtaking Central Coast. Our family getaway was greatly enhanced by this magnificent home! Every detail described above is as lovely as it sounds. Those pictures look great, and yet they hardly do it justice. Like you, we read this sight prior to renting/arrival and knew we had found a good house, but still our expecations were hugely exceeded. Everything in this home is luxurious, from the comfy beds to the beautiful decor. The owners put thought into each detail-- evidenced by a thorough suggestion binder. We took almost all of their ideas and were delighted with the sights we experienced on the coast (sliding down a sand dune, touching a star fish, wandering around a farmer's market, enjoying gorgous hiking...). This vacation home is the best one we've ever had using vrbo. We left sad that our time in it was over and longing to return to it again some day. We give the destination of Los Osos big, huge thumbs up and we give this home in particular a glowing, 5-star, absolutely perfect review!

We (3 adults, 2 teenagers) have used VRBO for several vacations in the past and feel that Debby's and Davidson's property in Los Osos is as good as they get. Large, luxurious, clean, light, well maintained, safe neighborhood, beautiful views of the golf course and Morro Bay dunes and great access to the wonderful surrounding area. Watching the 2010 soccer world cup on the large flat screen TV in the cozy living room with gas fireplace was an unexpected added joy which was only surpassed by lounging in the jacuzzi after a long day's hike and kayaking in the bay. The well appointed home with 3 BR, 2 1/2 baths, living room, dining area, 2 fire places, gas BBQ, open balcony, winter garden and extra table for the large puzzle exceeded out expectations and we especially loved the winter garden where we had breakfast every morning. The space even allowed a glimpse of Morro Rock when the fog dissipated. Having just returned back to SF, I feel refreshed and can highly recommend this wonderful home. Activities included hiked to the near-by dunes, visit to Elfin Forrest, kayaking in the bay, Thursday night Farmer's Market in San Luis Obispo, wine tasting on the way back from Avila Beach, stroll through Morro Bay and much more. Enjoyable indeed.

Just got back from the most wonderful week in Los Osos. Your place is amazing and all your recommendations for things to do were fantastic. We just about did them all! Among other things to rave about...the bed in the master bedroom was the most comfortable thing in the world! We loved that it was a little chilly down there because then you got to cozy all up in those puffy blankets to get warm. I could go on and on detailing everything that we loved about our vacation, but I won't bore you! Just wanted to say thanks again and it was amazing.
