The cottage is filled with modern amenities: fresh linens, towels, sofa and fully stocked kitchen with all the comforts of home. Flat screen TV, WiFi and all utilities included. This quiet haven has a queen-sized bed in the bedroom plus a fold-down, single bed sofa in the living room. It will comfortably sleep 3. Lots of closet space!
Washer and dryer are available on the entry level of the property. Street parking is plentiful and safe. You can enjoy the pleasure and safety of walking amongst the many families, professionals, singles, the elderly and enthusiastic dog walkers who roam the sunny streets from sun-up to sundown.
It is only a few short blocks to Cortland Avenue, the true heart of this bustling village. You'll find an international clique of restaurants, coffee shops, galleries, bakeries, grocery and organic farmer's markets, parks and playgrounds. There is also a florist, library (with a unique ceiling mural), video store, locksmith, pet store and dry cleaner to serve your needs.
Two bus lines easily transport visitors to both the downtown area as well as BART (Glen Park and Mission/24th St. Stations). We are located about 10 minutes from downtown by car via Hwys 101 and 280. If you have business in Silicon Valley, the commute is quick and easy with immediate freeway access and the shortest travel time from San Francisco. We are also only 20 minutes from San Francisco International Airport.

Why the Owner Chose Bernal Heights
We chose to buy our vacation rental in this location because Bernal Heights is one of the sunniest and safest neighborhoods with some of the most friendly people in San Francisco. It’s close proximity to Cortland Street restaurants, shopping, and abundant amenities were first on our list. We also wanted our guests to have easy freeway access from SFO and Silicon Valley, as well as public transportation options to other parts of The City.

Patty is a 31-year veteran of real estate whose love and knowledge of neighborhoods and homes in San Francisco leads her passion for owning this gorgeous “home away from home” in Bernal Heights. Patty is an expert at introducing visitors to the Best of The City, and knows the best spots for dining, shopping and most anything you might want to find while visiting The Cottage. She is an avid tennis fan, loves to travel and enjoys walking “Max,” their 7-year old, 70 lb Old English Sheep Dog on weekends. Julie also shares a passion for real estate sales in San Francisco and is enthusiastic about sharing her best secrets in Bernal Heights and the surrounding areas. Julie’s background is filled with athletic achievements and, most notably was the program director at San Francisco’s famous Olympic Club. She started and implemented the largest senior fitness program in the country and for several years, Julie founded and ran a physical rehabilitation center that brought many professional athletes back on their feet after injuries on the field. She loves all athletics and made sure visitors staying at The Cottage had access to excellent walking and running nearby during their stay.

The Cottage was a perfect fit for us both in space, amenities, and location. It was convenient to restaurants, shopping and park walking yet quiet and relaxing when we needed to recharge. Our daughter lives in Bernal Heights so I am sure we will want to return to The Cottage for another visit with in the year. What a pleasure to visit a city this way!

We adore this lovely 1 BR Cottage in Bernal Heights! It was exactly as described and even better. The Cottage was super clean and supplied with plenty of linens. Everything smelled so fresh - down to the towels! We felt perfectly comfortable in Bernal Heights as well as the Cottage. There was more than enough street parking and it was so convenient to all of San Francisco's tourist destinations. We loved the neighborhood and enjoyed walking to and dining at Liberte and Vega's Italian Restaurant. The food and service were excellent. I've already recommended the Cottage as well as Bernal Heights to friends. We'll definitely return. Thank you so much!

The condo was spotless and very quiet, and we almost always had a great parking spot on the street. The kitchen is a nice size, and adequately stocked, but why eat in in San Fran? The main bed is great, but the fold out bed is really a twin, and it's not as comfortable-- pretty hard. But there's lots of nice bedding. I'd recommend this for a couple anytime. It's a well maintained rental in a great neighborhood. And the price was very fair. Thanks!

My husband and I and our two dogs (labs) spent a week in this apartment. It was a wonderful experience. The perfect amount of space, with everything you could need (hair drier, laundry, coffee maker, internet, etc.) and street parking was very easy. Our dogs are very well behaved, but do not normally live in apartment, so having both Holly Park and Bernal Heights park within walking distance was fantastic. We would highly recommend this apartment. James was great, and very helpful with all of our date changes and small questions. We can't wait to go back!

What a lovely place to stay! So close to our family in Bernal Heights that we pretended to be neighbors. A few short blocks from the grocery store, great restaurants, and other shops on Cortland. Easy access to other parts of the City. Great for a single or couple! Management responded quickly when the internet went out. Our favorite things: the towels and the down comforter! Exactly as advertised! We will definitely be back!

My daughter and I stayed in this cottage. We were visiting family and the cottage was great. The pictures on the internet showed how cute it was and we were very pleased with everything. It is in a great location that is secure and has everything you need. The neighborhood is nice and it is convenient to lots of shops, yoga and local parks. I recommend this cottage and think you will be very happy if you stay there!

My wife and I have a daughter and new granddaughter in Bernal Heights. This condo was perfect. It is meticulously maintained by a very nice property manager and contained everything we needed for a comfortable week's stay. It is well situated for easy access to the shops and restaurants on Cortland Avenue, and it is an short walk down to the Mission as well. We intend to make a habit of staying there.

The cottage was immaculate and private, with enough room for 3 people. Parking was easy, and it's a quick walk to the main drag where you can find just about all you need. A great option for staying in a real neighborhood that's safe and full of charm, and a great deal for the money. I'd come back again.
