Gorgeous, large, private, well-appointed one bedroom flat on one of the best blocks in Bernal Heights. This sunny flat is quiet, with newly renovated kitchen and bath. There is a big, eat-in, open kitchen and a large combined living / dining room. Fully and thoughtfully appointed with everything you need in a home away from home. Flat screen, TV, WiFi and all utilities included. Washer and dryer available on same level. Street parking is plentiful and safe.
It is only a few short blocks to Cortland Avenue, the true heart of this bustling village. You’ll find an eclectic collection of restaurants, coffee shops, galleries, bakeries, grocery and organic farmer's markets, parks and playgrounds. There is also a florist, library (with a unique ceiling mural), video store, locksmith, pet store and dry cleaner to serve your needs.
Two bus lines easily transport visitors to both the downtown area as well as BART (Glen Park and Mission/24th St. Stations). We are located about 10 minutes from downtown by car via Hwys 101 and 280. We are also only 20 minutes from San Francisco International Airport. If you have business in Silicon Valley, the commute is quick and easy with immediate freeway access and the shortest travel time to and from San Francisco.

We love this neighborhood and found this flat to be perfect for our needs. We can cook if we want, walk to restaurants very close by and relax at the end of a long day. This is our second time staying in this building and it's our go-to place for San Francisco every time. If you want the feeling of a hotel in a relaxing neighborhood with fairly easy and FREE parking, this is it.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Our son lives in Bernal Heights and was getting married. We stayed five days in the condo and it was superb. It is well kept, well appointed and in a very quiet excellent location. Our daughter and her husband stayed with us part of the time. Although the advertisement lists this as a one bedroom, it has a separate sleeping area with a fold down couch. James brought us a a double air mattress with an electric pump and extra bedding but my daughter and son-in-law were very happy sleeping on the fold down couch. Additionally, the management was very responsive. The electricity went off and James immediately answered the phone and fixed the problem. Without question, we would stay there again.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children.

We stayed here for 4 nights in September 2011 with our 4 year old and 1 year old. It was lots of space, and great to have a kitchen! Everything was very clean and looked newly renovated. It was walking distance to two different grocery stores and a drug store, which was also nice. We had to move our car a couple of times as there was construction on the street right outside and so there were parking restrictions, but we had no trouble finding another spot about a block away. This would be a good spot for a couple or a couple with one child, as there is a single-sized fold down sofa bed, which was perfect for our 4 year old (or would also be ok for one adult). It worked well for us with 2 kids as our youngest slept in a playpen (which we brought ourselves), but would not work as well with 2 older kids who both need beds. James was very prompt and courteous with replying to any questions we had!

My wife and I stayed here and were very content. First, for those who don't know, Bernal Heights is a great place to spend a few nights or more in San Francisco. This flat is "tucked away" and very quiet. Walk one block up the hill and you are in BH Park, with fantastic 360 degree views of SF. It's a very sociable park, especially hospitable to dog owners. Walk a block the other way and you are on Cortland Ave, a cute little commercial street with restaurants, a grocery, video store, coffee shops, and so on. It is a very comfortable environment, quiet but energetic, and with quick access to numerous features of SF: right off the Mission, a few train stops to downtown, and a 20 minute car ride to the ocean. Besides the bedroom and living room, this flat has a little extra room for privacy. Great for a couple or couple with a small child. It has maybe three times the space of a reasonable hotel room, including a kitchen, in a location where no hotels are to be found. Well priced, really. Also, the management is very accomodating. We have stayed with them twice and I can say that they were cordial and repeatedly demonstrated a sincere interest in attending to whatever we needed. Trustworthy as well, with no messing around regarding your deposit. If you are looking for a well-priced place to stay while in San Franciso, I'd put this flat on top of your list!
