This beautiful Vermont getaway, called Willmarth Farm, is set on over 100 acres of open fields and wooded trails, sits at the base of Snake Mountain with stunning views of the Adirondacks. The main house was completely renovated, and offers the perfect combination of old-world charm and modern convenience.
3 huge family rooms, including a fully furnished basement with refrigerator, ice maker, sink, pool table and Bose home theater/entertainment system, provide more than enough space for even large groups. The kitchen is a chef's dream, with Viking range, Subzero fridge, two sinks, and acres of counter top, which opens up to a generous seating area with wood burning fireplace and unbelievable views.
Multiple eating areas include a 10 seat dining room and screened in porch with picnic table. Beautiful outdoor seating areas with multiple Adirondack chairs will take your breath away.
1 queen bed, 5 single beds and two double beds provide comfortable sleeping for a minimum of 11 adults. 4 full baths, including one on the first level, easily handle a large group.
Renters will have access to over 100 acres of open fields and wooded trails for hiking, mountain biking, cross country skiing and snow shoeing. Renters will have access to the owner's mountain bikes and snow shoes. Guests are welcome to bring their own snowmobiles, and have immediate access to the VAST trail network that runs through the property.
Wilmarth Farm is within 45 minutes of the area's premier ski areas (Mad River Glen, Sugarbush and the Middlebury College Ski Bowl), 15 minutes from the Middlebury College Golf Course, and 20 minutes from Lake Champlain and Lake Dunmore. Excellent restaurants and shopping can be found in the town of Middlebury and in downtown Vergennes, neither one no more than a 15 minute drive, and a worthwhile day trip to beautiful, historic Burlington which is less than an hour away.

Our family purchased the home as 3 of our four kids went to Middlebury College. We still use the house, but not nearly as often as we used to as the kids have all graduated. We live in Ipswich, MA, just north of Boston.

Stayed at this lovely home for a family reunion and participation in the Burlington City marathon. The setting was beautiful and serene with spectacular views of the countryside. The house was roomy and comfortably furnished. Particularly enjoyed the well equipped kitchen. Highly recommend it........

What a great alternative to staying in a hotel for our family reunion. Two familes, 8 people enjoyed the extraordinary 180 degree view of the mountains plus the comfortable and beautiful house. We hope to find reason to visit again!

Our long family weekend getaway at the farmhouse was an unexpected pleasant surprise. The house has been beautifully restored and is the perfect setting for relaxing with family and friends. Sunsets are beautiful and no pictutres can do justice to the surrounding property/grounds.The local area has plenty to offer. There are great restaurants in the Vergennes/Ferrisburgh and Middlebury areas. We enjoyed golfing and hiking while we were there. Snake Mountain's trail head is right across the street. Great hike with wonderful views at the top. Thanks again for sharing the farmhouse and we look forward to a return visit.

This place is one of the most beautiful homes in Vermont. We had 11 people stay there for a weekend getaway. It was perfect. We lit fires. Cooked huge dinners. And slept like kings. There's so much land to take advantage off, hiking and skiing - we returned exhausted. It's a very cozy, high-end farm house. It feels like yours even though it isn't. Extremely neat and tidy. Couldn't have been better. We'll be back. All 11 guests had the time of their lives!
