Owner Description
Year Purchased: 1993
We fell in love with Sanibel on our first trip to the island in 1983. We came back five weeks later and bought our first condo. We purchased Sand Pointe #226 in 1993 and finally moved here in 1999. We love the seashell strewn white sand beaches, bike paths, and fine restaurants of Sanibel Island. We visit those dining establishments regularly for you (tough work, but someone has to do it), and we compile this information as well as out favorite places-to-go, and things-to-do into a five page "Bon Voyage" letter that we send you three weeks prior to your arrival.
Why the Owner Chose Sand Pointe
We love Sand Pointe #226 for it's great view overlooking the picturesque lagoon to the Gulf of Mexico. The little island attracts many wild wading birds. The unit has a screened in porch that stretches the entire width of the condo allowing you to see the Gulf from the living room, dining room and kitchen as well as from large sliding glass doors in the master bedroom. We also love the under-building parking, elevator, and beautiful landscaping of the complex. Having a restaurant adjacent to the property is also nice.
The Unique Benefits of this Condominium
Did I mention the great view? The recent renovation included new bathrooms, carpet, decor, and kitchen. The kitchen is VERY well stocked (one of our renters said "if you want a garlic press in Elaine's kitchen, you will find a garlic press". Our unit includes full sized washer/dryer, 3 TVs, DVDs, VCR, CD and radio Stereo, WiFi, High Speed Comcast service, an XP computer, a large library, board games, and beach towels. We leave the key to our storage compartment, which is next to the beach, and it contains beach chairs and toys.
