Located in an exclusive area inside Tulemar, Casa del Mar is a luxurious, 2 story, 2 bedroom retreat nestled into the jungle hillside. It offers panoramic views of the ocean and lush jungle.
The villa is luxuriously furnished and has high end appliances throughout. As you enter through the huge teak door you pass into the over-sized living and kitchen area. There is also a 1/2 bath and a large daybed / TV on this floor. This leads to large wrap-around veranda with stunning view of the ocean and jungle, an outdoor dining area and a jacuzzi tub.
On the lower level are 2 suites, one with 2 queen beds and one with 1 king, luxurious mattresses with European linens and their own terrace. Each room has an en-suite bathroom with stone counters and an indoor and outdoor raindrop shower.
While this privately owned villa may look similar to others, that's where the similarity stops. Upgraded electronics including flat screen TVs, a Bose iPod dock and a private, high-speed wireless Internet system keep you entertained and up-to-date.
You'll also have your own personal concierge — Mauricio! Mauricio (see right) will not only help with your plans and the details of your stay, but he'll make the trip easy and even more fun. Upon your arrival, he'll greet you at the door of Casa del Mar, having filled it with flowers and prepared it with some special surprises just for you.
A unique feature of this casa is its location; on a level area with adjacent parking, easy for those that might have difficulty with steps and ramps leading to the front door.

Five of us stayed in Casa del Mar and we couldn't have asked for anything more. From the moment we arrived at Tulemar, the service was impeccable. Julien provided everything we needed including personally taking us to the grocery store, making all our dinner reservations (which were all amazing), and reserving our activities. When we were caught by a thunderstorm one night and unsure about making it out to dinner, the front desk actually offered to drive us there themselves rather than calling a cab. Beyond the remarkable service from everyone at Tulemar, the lush property abundant with animals, gorgeous villas and casas, and private beach made this place absolutely perfect and we were all terribly sad to go. We spent the rest of our trip in arenal and the entire time, wished we would have spent our whole time at Tulemar instead.

Anyone researching a stay in the Manuel Antonio area should look into Tulemar carefully; my family and I (three teens) recently enjoyed a wonderful experience there. Our Casa was extremely well designed, modern, immaculate, and offered great views. Their beach was fantastic, as were the food and bars. The location allows easy access to the best of the area's restaurants. But the real secret to Tulemar's successful delivery was the concierge service provided by Julien, Dave and Muricio. Julien was our lead and was nearly flawless from booking through departure. Two warnings: If you want to snorkel (July) don't expect great visibility. And the project's manager was shortsighted regarding the resolution of a very simple issue. Julien stepped in and made things right although it was not his responsibility, and his concierge group absorbed the cost. The concierge group simply did everything right. Although I've not stayed anywhere else in the area I have no problem strongly recommending Tulemar to friends.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Julien (our concierge) were extremely helpful! When we arrived at Casa del Mar, my husband, 2 friends and I just stood there with our jaws dropped! Its a beautiful casa with a spectacular view! We visited during the 'green season' and we barely saw any rain! It rained a lil 3 out of the 7 evenings we were there, and it never bothered us, because our balcony was perfect to lounge around with some cervezas and hang out. The private beach was beautiful and in the late afternoon when high tide came up, we could lounge on the 2nd tier of the beach and watch the waves. When we arrived at Tulemar, Julien informed us that he would give us our own private chef (Chris) for the night! It was an amazing dinner with enough leftovers for the next couple days! It was such a nice gesture! We also love the pools but the family pool is where we spent the most time because it was right below out Casa! The trees and plants were beautiful, the monkeys and sloths and other wildlife we saw was so cool and everyone was so nice! My husband, friends and I have already talked about our next trip!

The house was beautiful, comfortable and had incredible views. We loved the outdoor patio for relaxing with coffee in the morning and eating dinner outside in the evenings. We even watched the monkeys cross our porch one morning. The private beach was so nice that we only went to Manuel Antonio beach one day. The service on beach was wonderful and it was so convient to have lawn chairs, kayaks, and boggie boards available for our whole family. The monkeys in trees on beach is especially fun for the kids. The staff was available and so attentive our entire stay by helping us book events, know places to eat etc...

Wow....what a beautiful place in Costa Rica. My family, which includes three teenagers 18, 16 and 13, loved this place! The kids were especially blown away by this place.....they loved their room. the indoor/outdoor shower, and the "feel' of the place. Julien had arranged for us to be picked up by Ariel from the airport. He is such a good and conscientous driver. The scenery on the ride to Tulemar was so beautiful but several of us regularly get car sick and this trip was no different. We used our Sea-bands on the way back to the airport and it helped. I absolutely LOVE the Bali styling of the villa. I am still awed by the fact that they had indoor/outdoor showers....what a luxury! What a view! Our entire family loved the upstairs balcony. We spent every morning and evening out there reading and enjoying the awesome view! The kitchen was especially helpful....we were able to cook breakfast and keep drinks handy. The kitchen came alive when we were so lucky to have Chris cook for us. Having him cook for you is one thing you should not miss in Costa Rica. I was hesitant in the beginning because of the price but what I didn't know is how much the food costs at other restaurants. He is so passionate about cooking and you can taste it in every dish he makes. Chris is such a nice guy too.....he's even light hearted when he talks about his beloved Costa RIca soccer team losing to Mexico!! Originally, I was skeptical of the dark colored sand. From the pictures, I thought it looked dirty. Boy, was I wrong. The various shades from gray to black make for a beautiful marbled effect.....I loved it. Tulemar is a special place with special people working there. Julien, Dave and Mauricio are so accommodating. They seem to love all aspects of their job. Their attention to detail makes staying with them truly a "dream vacation".

We recently stayed for five nights in Casa Del Mar. The concierge service that is offered as part of your stay is wonderful! From the moment we started researching Tulemar till the morning we sadly drove back to San Jose, Julien, our concierge, was amazing! The house and views were beautiful and exceeded our expectations. As two 30-something couples it was perfect in size and design. From the hot tub on the balcony to the open air showers, everything was beyond great. The private beach, beach restaurant and bar (Michael), and van shuttle service were wonderful. Everyone we met there was so welcoming and friendly! I highly recommend Tulemar for couples and families alike.

"A truly magical vacation - we didn't want to leave!" From the moment we arrived at Tulemar, we felt we "belonged". Our hosts were most welcoming and introduced us, right away, to everything that Manuel antonio area had to offer. The house was magnificent with fabulous views of the Pacific Ocean, outdoor living in the rain forest, morning sightings of monkeys as they foraged in the trees. We left our busy lives behind and felt truly immersed in the tropical atmosphere of Costa Rica. The Tulemar "team" made reservations for us at restaurants, and for the various local activities. We didn't have to do a thing. The best vacation we've ever had - can't wait to return to Tulemar.

Since this was our first time visiting Costa Rica we weren't sure what to expect but as soon as we stepped into Casa Del Mar we knew this would be our favorite vacation house. Not only is the casita perfect for us as a couple, there would have been plenty of space for another couple too. The home was furnished beautifully and the views of the ocean were perfect. From jungle strolls to the perfect private beach...this vacation was perfect because of the location and the home. We will definitely be back!

"Great Place and Great Vacation" Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time at Tulemar in Manuel antonio. Mauricio was very helpful in lining up the rental car and day trips. He was great to work with. The maid service was also very good. It was a vacation filled with both activities and relaxation. Our 8 and 11 year old children and both Mom and Dad had a great time zip lining, white water rafting, ATV touring and the guided tour through the national forest. The accommodations were very comfortable and the view magnificent. We were in one of the 2 bedroom premium villas. The monkeys would come and visit us on the balconies. The private beach is great too. The food in both Manuel antonio and Quepos was very good. All the fruit is very fresh. Everyone gave a big thumbs up to Tulemar and Manuel antonio.
