You'll love this adorable cottage style lake house located right on the lake! Enjoy sitting on the large screened sun porch with a perfect view of this quiet cove. Perfect for the entire family - the kids LOVE the water trampoline, sunbathers love the dock with full sun most of the day, and a shaded umbrella table for lunch. Parents love the "NO WAKE" cove where children can jump in and swim right off the dock. Fishermen find our little cove the best spot on the lake-you can fish right off the dock! The beach volleyball court and horseshoes are a favorite with teenagers.
The main level offers a great room with open kitchen and breakfast bar, dining table for eight, living room area with Dish Network TV, movies, puzzles and games and a full bath. Two sliding doors off the living area lead to a beautiful sun porch overlooking the lake. Master Bedroom with King size bed and master bath are also on this main level, with sliders to the sun porch. The open stairs lead to the 2nd level with one Queen bedroom, another Queen bedroom with a single bed and trundle and a family room with a queen size sleep sofa and twin size sleep chair. There is another full bath on this level as well. (Guests need to supply their own linens and towels).
Bad weather-no problem...there are two separate living rooms with Dish Network TV and DVD's galore-the kids love the upstairs with the foosball table and authentic slot machine and adults love the downstairs with the open space kitchen and dining room. The screened porch has windows that can be closed during rainstorms, but offer full enjoyment of watching the rain on the lake-then watching the rain subside and sun shine through!
You can't beat the location of this house on the lake-located in "Holiday Hills", a quiet community, a quiet cove, yet near every possible convenience imaginable-grocery stores, gas, golf, marinas, state park, restaurants, and the new Mayberry Drive-In Movie Theatre with a 1950's style family diner.
At night, the fire pit is a favorite for everyone-roast marshmallows right next to the lake and gaze at the stars!

Why the Owner Chose Moneta
Cape Cottage is located on a quiet cove, near shopping, gas, marinas and other lake conveniences. We are in a deep water cove, meaning that we can always navigate our boat in and out, even if the lake level is low. Yet, we are in a NO WAKE cove, which assures that our children can swim safely right off the dock.

Cheryl and Steve Wilhide of Ellicott City, Maryland found that Smith Mountain Lake was the perfect vacation spot. Friends of ours at the lake convinced us to look at property and we were sold! We wanted a place we could vacation with our family and share our house with others as well.
