Why the Owner Chose Saugatuck
Our family has had close Michigan ties going back three generations. A small fishing/hunting cottage on the shore of Lake Leelaneau in the northern part of the state has been a family gathering spot for almost 100 years. We wanted to continue the tradidion, and perhaps have something a little closer to Chicago, which most of us call home. Since Saugatuck has always been a stopping point in our travels to and from Lake Leelaneau, and we'd already made many memories there, we were naturally drawn to the area. Now, it's just a quick drive out of our concrete jungle, and into the relaxing beauty that is southwest Michigan. We love it, and know you will too!

The perfect Labor Day get-away! This home is fabulous, and the perfect retreat for five maxed out worker bees from the city! We loved every minute of being here and are already planning our next trip back to Saugatuck and Roadside Marker!

My band and I performed a concert at the Saugautuck Center for the Arts on May 2nd, then came to this cabin to stay. Absolutely an incredible topper to an already perfect night. We had a full house, great and amazing audience and the weather rocked - sun even came out! This cabin is beautiful, homey, clean and special! Thank you - we loved it!

Thank you for such a wonderful place to stay! We all love this cabin on Lilypad Lane - the kids adore the loft and "log cabin" feel, as well as the pool and hot tub. We also really like the boardwalk to the dock and caught a fish ourselves too! It is nice and private here, which the adults enjoy. Saugatuck, Holland and Douglas are all great towns for shipping and eating...especially the ice cream. We visited both Oval Beach and Saugatuck Dunes - loved the walk through the woods to get to the Dunes. Hope to be back next summer!

My husband could not have chosen a better vacation home for our family and friends to enjoy. Our boys thought the cabin was the "coolest" place they have ever stayed. We so enjoyed the pool as it was very hot this week. We also loved the hot tub - especially after climbing Mt. Baldhead! The kids loved the nightly fires, smores and the big TV in the loft. We also made several visits to the dock where we found the fishing was amazing! We caught so many fish we lost count. Nothing beats the priceless look on our nine-year-olds face when he caught his first big fish - a 3lb catfish. Not only did we enjoy the cabin, we loved Saugatuck too! The food was amazing as well as the shopping. The Dune Rides and the Keetawin ship tour were favorites.

We had a good time on vacation; would have been great if the weather had been a bit better. The cloudy, rainy days were made enjoyable by the comfortable house - two jigsaw puzzles in a week passed the hours - Enjoyed the hot tub immensely. Look forward to returning in the future.
