This is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, 1188 sq. ft. condo with 30 foot high ceilings. Our condo is spacious, well maintained, fabulously appointed, very clean and recently upgraded. My family stayed at the unit Sept. 26 - 29, 2011.The photo's on the ad were decribed accurately. felt very comfortable here and were surprised at all the little "extras" in the unit with all the kitchen amenities, linens, beach towels etc.. The condo is within walking distance to Beach III and a short drive to Beach 1 & 2. Renting a vehicle is a must to get around the island. We did eat breakfast and lunch at the condo and ate out evenings. We found groceries expensive. I would certainly recommend this unit for renting and would use it again myself. ViRecommended for: Age 55+.

This is an amazing condo. We have stayed at many other units at Kamaole Sands and none was either as clean as or appointed as well as this unit. We felt very comfortable here and were surprised at all the little "extras" in the unit that made us feel that Charley really cared about our well being during our stay. We stayed in this unit in March 2011. We have stayed at a number of places in Maui over the last 5 years, so we generally know what to expect for our $. The unit was generally as described in the listing description. However, the unit does need some updating. The couch and chair were not overly clean, the fans were filthy, the screen door was damaged, pots and pans were in very poor shape, cupboards in the upstairs bedroom needed fixing/replacing, outside closet was filthy, etc. In fairness to the owners, they did fix the screen door and replace the pots and pans. They also cleaned the fan - after we took it down to their business and then picked it up. However, what was most distrubing was their attitude. They thought they were doing us a favor. When the exterminators were coming we were told by the complex managers to close all screens, windows, etc. We tried to comply, but the screen on the upstairs skylight was non existant and the window would not close. We told the owners but there reaction was basically that it had never been a problem and don't worry. No matter we got some bugs, geckos, etc in the unit - again, not a big deal, but it should have been dealt with by the owners. All we were trying to do was take care of the unit as if it was our own. At the last week, we were going to stay for a couple more days. The calendar showed the time was available, so we contacted the owner. We would, of course, pay for this time. Our response from the owner was one line with significant profanity included (I kept the email and still have it). We quickly got an apology, but it indicates the attitude of the owners. When we rented, we thought having an owner with a business on island would be a plus. Not so - I should have paid more attention to some of the reviews written for his business. The owners of this property have a attitude where it seems give us the money and don't bother us. We would not stay in this unit again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 13/14

My mother in law and I stayed here in October and this particular condo was fantastic! The facility is really nice, the pools and views are great. I rented this condo and my mom and sister rented from someone else in Kamaole Sands. Her condo was nowhere near as nicely furnished or equipped. This one was clean, well stocked, and the owner was very accommodating. My mom's condo, although on the same floor and building as mine, was bare with very little linens or kitchen stuff. Mine had a fully stocked kitchen (many dishes and cookware as well as some food items, 2 closets full of linens, cleaners. All the things a home would have except perishables. Mom and I had the same views outside but I got a lot more comfort and a better deal per night. I loved the location of this condo, too. We travelled all over the island each day, and this was easy to get to from anywhere. The beach is just a short walk away. I would highly recommend this place as the ONE condo to stay at.
